Aguero's 30 in June & has a contract with City until June 30th 2020 by which time he'll be 32. He's said several times over the years that after City, he'll return to his boyhood love, Newell Old Boys in Argentina.

Pep has said Aguero is integral to City. Sanchez has played a false 9, but at 5ft 5", he'll be of little use as a main striker, so any threat to Aguero is unlikely to come from Sanchez.

But it's football & anything can happen. However, this is the gospel so far, straight from the horses' mouths. If you still wants to give it the X Files, take it up with Aguero, Guardiola & Manchester City Football Club.
Think he might be a bit pissed if he went to Newell Old Boys....

Independiente might be a possibility.

Yes that foreign journalist that seems pally to Sergio said on 30/12/17:
"

Sergio Agüero has contract until 2020 with Manchester City. Like he recognized, he wants to stay at the club if the coach consider him like a key player. He loves the club but if he doesn't continue, he will not go to Independiente yet. He will play more years in Europe."
Since then Pep seems to have gone out of his way to say how important Sergio is to the team.

The possibility of real competition for places generally makes players sharper and work harder, even though they might not look forward to it.

Bit of a myth that. Reckon they played two decent games as a partnership one of which was Norwich away.

They weren't exactly Keegan & Toshak for understanding, but Tevez is just about the only partner with whom Sergio has ever linked up to a decent standard. He doesn't really even link up with Messi.

Sanchez will probably suit him, in the way Gundogan got him playing, at weekend.

While signing Sanchez certainly shores up the attack I am not sure that there are not other positions where we are just an injury away from a serious problem.

CL semi final with no Dinho. Mangala as one of the CBs.

Still this is a signing that Pep has wanted for a while so...

Imaginary scenario. CL final everyone fit.

Which three of these start? Sane, Sterling, Kun, Jesus, Sanchez.
