I suppose nobody knows, just speculation. Are City really in for him? May have missed it, but has anybody from the club officially said we want to buy him?

As a matter of interest, if someone wants to discuss whether signing Sanchez is a better option than another position, where exactly is it supposed to go, other than the signing Sanchez thread & seeing as you normally start moving posts & merging everything when peope start threads of any similarity, isn't it just easier to discuss it here ?

He wants to play for Pep,maybe the words gone round that he's deffo coming to us and that all the posturing in the press by Arsenal is just bluff to placate their fans.

Possibly pal. The stories I've seen have largely been around Arsenal wanting to sell to Bayern and Sanchez himself wanting us. Just thought it a little odd the rags not being mentioned as they would pay him £250/300k and I don't think we would (before bonuses anyway).

Hope he does want us. We can worry about who is playing when and where when he's here.

Put it another way, City usually do the deal with the player first and avoid getting into a bidding war.

It's why not all the big boys were in for Sterling, Sane, KDB etc (in my opinion).

Well Bayern were deffo in for De Bruyne and Sane and were royally pisssed off that we bagged em.

I agree he does look like he COULD be a great player but he's only been on the scene 5 minutes, too soon to judge if he's worth paying £100m for

Football is littered with kids who have burst on the scene and don't live up to the hype after a few years

His stats are very similar to Kelechi's. Can you see anyone paying £100m for him?

I can easily see 4-5 paying 100 for him (at the minimum). The problem with kids like this...if you wait 2-3 years he will be at Madrid and will have a 300 million release clause. If we want him we have to get him before he makes his big move. Look at Dembele...he went for 15 last summer. He will be at least 50 this summer.
 
According to twitter and various sources it seems we're getting very close to signing lemar from monaco for 30-40m, just wondering when that goes through and confed cup is over, will we see some action regarding alexis - New contract / leaving. I'm still 65-35 he's going at the minute, hope not but what can you do.

We need to find out what Arsenal will do if Sanchez doesn't extend his contract and we have no way of knowing that. Only guesswork.

Mate every club on this planet want him. There is a reason for that. I get what you're coming from but it is not a coincidence. The guys behind the scenes know much more than you or I or anyone else on this board in regards to football. They would know it's a risk but they must see a massive pay off if they're willing to put 100 million on it.
