Congratulations on your deserved win. Both teams under-strength. You missed Koscielny, Ozil and Sanchez and Chelsea missed Bakayoko, Hazard and Morata. On the basis of that, Arsenal are as good as Chelsea, but the thing is Chelsea can fight week in week out, but can Arsenal? Would not be a shock to see Leicester take something from the Emirates.
Thank you. It was a good day for sure.

You say Chelsea can fight, indeed they can, but technically, they looked poor yesterday and as a team, there were times when they looked like they had been thrown together last week. I can see why Conte is so pissed off at the board, like us, they need a bit more.

Was nice to see that we can actually play well without Ozil and Sanchez though. I agree with your view on Leicester, it's a lot tougher than some fans are making out. We need a win badly though, especially with two tough aways coming up against Liverpool and Stoke.

Unless we both up our level significantly though, I can see City strolling to the title. And even City fans would agree, it's far more satisfying to win the title when there's a decent challenge for it.

The rags & Liverpool currently look a level above both, as teams, to me, both with a definite method. Hopefully that's not true when the season starts.

I thought Arse & Chelsea looked awful. No idea how Chelsea will replace Costa or you lot would replace Sanchez if he left.

Nope we have done the last minute thing... want to win it with five games to go ;)

You can see Conte is not happy at CFC, but he makes demands on his players, and Hazard will improve them no end. They've been really lucky that he's not been injured this last 2 seasons. I like your new left back. Lots of City fans dismiss Arsenal I think just to wind you up. Arsenal have the quality in the squad to mount a title challenge. The one question is just the consistency and self-belief. City have to rebuild our team. We did half of it last Summer, and largely completing the job this Summer. I'm hopeful now. A little wary of how the new keeper will settle in and whether Aguero will score as regularly as he has. Most City fans wont have any criticism of Aguero but it's obvious we are in for Sanchez and Mbappe because the attack is no longer as potent as it was.

Thank God the new season is now here. Really looking forward to taking my first trip to the ground and starting the season all over. Can always be hopeful now.

Exactly! haha as much as it was so sweet to snatch the title from our scummy neighbours when they were all but celebrating it really is no good for the heart haha get it won in December I say then concentrate on the CL
;)

of course we have had a good window but losing Kelchi without a replacement, if that does indeed occur makes us a tad light Both Sanchez and Mbappe look off the table Aguero and Jusus, and were one injury away from afalse number9 We have terrific midfielders /wingers who are far from clinical, and if we cannot get another striker, then they have to give us more input, either that or we fall short again this season

Totally agree great window but not having a replacement for kelechi and going with 2 strikers will be very silly

So do we. Amazing for a freebie. He's an absolute tank. I would be petrified to see him coming full pelt towards me. Willian looked like he was shitting himself every time he went near him! Got the makings of a cult figure at Arsenal.

Think he may be on for a few reds this season as when he hits someone he will send them 10 foot in the air!!! Watched him last season great going forward not interested the other way bit like kolarov.

Saw him play for Schalke last year and he was unstoppable going forward.

Heard an arsenal fan say 'Kola' earlier though and had to do a double take. Amusingly similar that both are from the balkans, share similar names and are left sided defenders who are class going forward but perhaps a little less concerned with defending.

Him and Sanchez both going down the left could be devastating, but maybe not as good as Leroy and Bendy ;-)

I think in short we could say that 1) City has a lot of extra revenue coming from the new TV deal, and 2) we have sold or released a serious amount of players, some of which were among the highest paid we had. While I think nobody on here knows the exact numbers it is at least quite plausible that we are able to pay for the new players with the money from point 1 and 2. Remember that amortization means that the transfer sum of a new player is distributed evenly over the time of his contract, so 50 million and a 5 years contract means we have to find 10 million per year for 5 years to be within the FFP constraints. Plus wages off course.
I also think City is expecting a better commercial deal when the Nike kit supplier deal runs out next year.
As mentioned by others there are different threads about all this, for example this one http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/balance-sheet.329243/

Many thanks-

Or god forbid Sanchez and Mendy!

"Both Neymar and Dani Alves phone called Alexis Sanchez yesterday, whose representative Felicevich is right now in "intensive" talks with Antero Henrique. PSG is preparing an offer of around €55m to Arsenal and a contract of 4 years to Alexis with a salary of €13,5m per year."

Even if PSG buy the best player (Alves, Sanchez, Neymar, n Mbappe) They still want win the CL or considered and "Elite Club" without a world class manger like pep, Jose, Conte or etc.
Braca had the best players before Pep became Manger, but stil did not win anything before he took over.
PSG is the best in France, but ligue 1 is ranked 5 iin European league.
