With Wenger's comments about Alexis being available it will be very interesting to see if he plays. Unlike some on here, I don't think him playing means we have no chance to sign him; however, if he doesn't play then I think it's done.

If Wenger does want to take the "I had no choice, it was the board's decision" side, then maybe he names Sanchez to the bench but doesn't play him, knowing a deal is agreed.

If he leaves Arsenal I can only see him joining City, as i think he's set his heart on the move. If he stays it will damage the cohesion in their squad, as the other players will know he doesn't want to be there, which is a back handed insult to them as he's saying they're not good enough. It might be a last minute job, but I'm hopeful.

We'll bid big next week, when there's no room for delaying tactics or time to drive the fee up even further. Pressure cooker time.

With him not signing a new deal etc when £60-70 million is put on the table with the clock ticking, it'll be incredibly hard for them to say no.

I think it's clear this has been the plan all along to be honest.
