The three worries/reasons that arsenal might not sell him.

1. They (mistakenly) will see it as some sort of moral victory..holding a player to his contract, not giving in to money or whatever else they will spout.

2. They cant find a replacement (This is highly likely as every arsenal fan is even saying how incompetent they are transfer wise)..they have left themselves so little time.

3. We wont do the deal THEY want.....either player going their way as part of it or they ask too much money/we wont pay the fee they ask for.......

number 2 and 3 are as likely as anything else happening......just hope we get it done as he is a huge player to have in the squad and certainly improves our options

Has it occurred to you that this might be the only way to get Sanchez?

You need to read this book, mate.

Are you Jim Thomas, or his agent???

Well you should give your head a wobble then. Silva has been arguably the best player in the league over the past 5 seasons combined. Silva makes devasting through balls like no other. And Sanchez's record vs Sergio's speaks for itself.

People are getting seriously carried away here. We are not trying to sign Messi, only Sanchez.

Sanchez was the arguably the best player in the league last season in terms of goal scoring and assists. I think you're slightly deluded.

Does anyone think that Arsenal would turn down a cash only bid of 150 mil for Sanchez ?

If the answer in 'no' then please SHUT UP.

It's down to whether or not a fee has been or will be agreed which suits both parties. Nothing else.

If it's agreed, he comes, if not he doesn't.

Fuck all to do with anything else.

Why do people keep staying what time it is in Chile? We are negotiating with arsenal who are based here in the same time zone as us

Of those number 2 stands out. They cannot let him go without a replacement, otherwise they're toast. But it would be surprising if, knowing this was a likely situation all summer, that they hadn't got someone at least lined up?

I tend to agree with you. There's a bit of shiny new toy syndrome going on. Sometimes people forget what we have whilst also forgetting that Sanchez stands out as a diamond amongst a pile of shite at the moment. I can guarantee he won't 'look' individually as good for us because he'll be alongside better players. That's not to say he isn't a great player who wouldn't improve us but we're good already.

I can see them holding their ground trying to get us to back down and give them Sterling. Hopefully we just tell em to fuck off and keep upping the cash offer until they're forced to accept it.

It's 8am in Chile. If this was going to happen I'd expect movement in the next few hours. The national team won't want it affecting the game they have tonight.
