One year of Messi at 80% capacity is still worth it. He's that goodWhy are we do intent on buying a player for mega millions who, although brilliant in the past, when you take his age into consideration, must be on the verge of sudden decline.

His age could be a blessing. Perhaps it's the quality of the team he plays in but currently he tries to do much himself and ends up just blunting attacks. Perhaps as he gets older and starts to slow somewhat he'll put more trust in his team.

What?
He is just coming into his prime, top goal scorer in Europe last year despite the best efforts of his team mates to limit the games he could play in. Would be the best signing we have ever made imo.
You've convinced me. I'm in. Let's go for it.Why a "sudden" decline? Great players have the intelligence to adapt as they get older he is already doing this It's also not just his football he would bring a massive kudos to City and attract even more fans
Don't remember itDefinitely needed it's own thread.
Thanks for the input. Not sure anyone's mentioned similar in the near 3,000 page Alexis Sanchez thread.
