I don’t imagine they’d be so crass as to franchise (although I suppose Milton Keynes did it) but the fans wield a huge amount of power, if only they did realise it.
Imagine if all fans just agreed not to attend until ticket prices were pegged at £30. The clubs would fold faster than Tony Bloom with a 7/2 off suit.
It wouldn’t happen of course because we’d be too busy slagging of the rags, who’d be slagging off the scousers who’d be slagging off the Chavs who’d be slagging off Spuds, ad infinitum. It’s one of the reasons is not reported on objectively and why tribalism is actively encouraged in the game.
 
How the fuck can the prem learn lessons from American sports.

At least our players wouldn't be playing in it. It'd be Liverpools first team and Ronaldo playing. I'm all for it.
