I suspected it was all a stunt. Bacon Face has played a blinder. The rags will now worship him again, he'll get huge support from their fans and will recapture his form. They will also use it to try to prove that they still have great ambition. All the quotes and press conferences looked incredibly staged, and so it proved to be.
