Alphonso Davies

Tear him? Bernardo dribbled him a lot, but Davies pace allowed him to recover every single time. Despite Bernardo dribbling him, I don't remember a single chance he could create because Davies was immediately back next to him.

Not to mention he created a lot of trouble offensively. Davies is literally the only world-class FB in the world right now. There are elite defensive fullbacks (Ake, Araujo, Walker), elite offensively (TAA, maybe Dumfries), elite at creation (Cancelo,Zinchenko), and some that are good, but not elite at both (James, Balde, maybe Shaw) Davies is the only FB elite at creation and offensive that is still quite good defensively.

For me, he would be the best possible buy this summer (above Bellingham) and we would be set up for the next 8 years defensively.

Ake/Davies Ake/Akanji/Dias/Stones Lewis/Walker/Stones

That's just one example. It was kind of like that for the whole game.
Davies could not stop Bernardo from scoring, creating chances, etc. Objectively, he got a footballing lesson from Bernie, but only in this one match. He would still be an incredible signing, though. Haaland looked poor vs us, and Gvardiol got destroyed in that Leipzig match, so as a team, we tend to do that to other players, especially younger ones with room to improve, no matter how good. Bernardo is amongst the best players in the world, so he can make anyone look bad.

I said he dribbled him a lot, but as you can see in that video, every single time Davies recovered. I just saw the extended highlights, and there is not one action that Bernardo created in that match against Davies (or anyone for that matter). And that video you showed is an example. He was dribbled 2 or 3 times, but he was always close and never let him to have a clear opening for a pass or shoot, which is what matters at the end.

If it was TAA or even Cancelo, Bernardo dribbles him once and he would never be close again because they overcommit.

Who doesnt want Alphonso Davies. Him or Nuno Mendes is the talk of the town.
