Play ball and join an OSC for the paltry price of around £15 a year. I don't particularly like many of the other people who are in the same as me (boring, cliquey, arrogant) but they help me get tickets and travel to Away Matches when I need it. Most of the time I can get my own - but sometimes I need their assistance.

Play ball.

and how do you know people in the osc dont get tickets then decide they cant go the ticket forum on here is just as as bad as what you make the osc to be the only difference people are re selling their tickets on here which is illegal the osc are only selling tickets once

Please. Your not the PR person for the OSC are you? Seperate the two and stop trying to justifiy what the OSC do because of what happens on Bluemoon.
likewise youcant justifiy what happens on bm

why dont the people on here return their tickets if they cant go you even see some people on here saying "i have enough points if you need a ticket i can get you one" mods included it happens the osc is just the same

Because the OSC contribute money to various things and don't rock the boat, even when Swales was killing the club and they wouldn't get involved. The ability to get tickets for themselves and their mates is the payoff. The OSC executive even get paid for what they do (they call it an "honorarium" in the minutes but never say how much it is).

Why is the London Branch still run by someone who lives in Stockport and why, when people actually living in London try to organise things for City fans do they get loads of shit from the OSC (as tueartsboots will testify)?

Rocking the boat? So what. F*** the boat. If a branch only needs x, it should get x and not claim Y. If it has remaining tickets, it should send them back to city, instead of giving them to members with insufficient loyalty points.

Prestwich Blue, I've got a lot of time for you, but please don't use the money and rock the boat line to justify what goes on. You know it goes on. I certainly do.

If a City fan has earned a ticket by attending away matches and has built up their loyalty points, they deserve a chance of an away ticket. It shouldn't be denied to them because a member of a branch fancies that away match, but can't be arsed going to the other away games.

Let's have some honesty please.
You misunderstand me jrb. I'm certainly not defending or justifying it. I totally agree with you that it's wrong. I'm just saying the tickets are the cost of keeping the OSC happy.

Things are changing though, OSC doesn't like me dealing with Danny direct but as I'm no longer an OSC member there is bugger all they can do.
Danny welcomes feedback and comments.
Latest OSC EC minutes state "**** then advised that a member of another branch has contacted Danny Wilson direct to complain re the availability of a room ‘’It was agreed by all present that any official contact with the club should only be made by the General Secretary’’ "

That's just wrong, a supporter should be able to contact the Head of Supporter Experience as and when they choose to do so.

Can someone explain to me how the club and the "I'm alright (in the OSC), Jack, I'm playing the system so feck you" types arrive at the conclusion that the OSC are the only people able to "get rid" of tickets for less attractive fixtures?

Are they claiming that there are legions of blues who refuse to buy tickets from the club and will only decide to stump up and go to a match if they can purchase a ticket through their dodgy mate at an OSC?

Are we saying that the people who the OSC 'get rid' of their tickets to for less attractive fixtures refuse to do business to the club and would have no intention of going if they are forced to buy from the club.

I know I must be missing something, having never dealt with one, but something is amiss here, surely?

It's like the Soviet Politburo. Do we really need this sort of crap in the internet age?

Exactly. That's why when I send out our regular email updates, all senior OSC are linked- best way of showing what modern communications are capable of achieving.
Apart from my Dads emails, I hear nothing from the OSC, stuck up twunts

So... has anyone complaining about an OSC Member receiving a ticket before them (despite having less loyalty points) ever got a Blue with more loyalty points to sort them out a ticket on their behalf? I recall one Arsenal Away fixture was popular so I asked my then Boss to get me on one his loyalty points Seasoncard before I rewarded him with full costs and a Pint after work. Same principle.

I cast thee out Fast Eddie! Pack your bag.
