would be happy to have him on board to give us a different dimension against teams who dont allow us to play decent football i.e. stoke,bolton etc . Not saying he would be my first choice every week but given the back up strikers not playing at the moment it would be nice to have the option of another striker that can actually score compared to rsc and jo and even ade to some extent.

I'm sure our main target will be Dzeko and rightly so. Dzeko is outstanding in the air just like Carroll is but if we are being honest Dzeko is much better than Carroll with the ball at his feet so would suit the way Mancini wants us to play much more than Carroll would but he would also give us an option in the air. Carroll has been excellent this season but he's not good enough with the ball at his feet at this moment in time where as Dzeko is

He impresses me more each time I see him play. His movement, touch and physical presence do actually remind me of Shearer, which might be an unfortunate comparison for the lad, although flattering.
We comfortably meet the 'English' player criteria so would not need to pursue English over Foreign. English players are always a premium anyway, because of those very rules.
Having said that I do think he would be a force in the Prem for us, especially if we played with some effective wide players.

The Rags will have to be making provision for replacing Ginger and the Welshman, rather than adding to the strikers. And, in case you needed reminding, they don't have the money that we do!! I hope you're wrong.

It's not his ability that's the worry but if we start playing long ball football then I won't be watching any time soon.
