Anelka

Seems that this thread worked out how I thought it would. Might as well of called it "Anelka, lets have and argument about Israel, Jews and anti Semitism"

Anelka is an idiot but I think he is so far passed caring about football he doesn't give a shit what happenes

Samir Nasri Official ‏@SamNasri19 1m

Sorry, but that is utter bollocks.
Every French person knows precisely what the gesture means.
You would have to be beyond thick not to know it's meaning and how it would be perceived.

I'd be interested to know what makes you so sure about something very few of us had ever heard of a week ago.

Perhaps because he's French and it's more than likely he knows what's going on in France.

Possibly because my wife is French and hates fascists with a passion, as do I, and I lived there three years.
Very few folk had heard about it because it hadn't been done as a goal celebration previously, or if it had nobody in the media had picked up on it.
Now I don't trust the media as far as I can urinate into a force ten gale, but they are only reporting what somebody has been daft enough to do here.
They haven't made anything up - it is what it is, regardless of who they play for, and they are fucking stupid to do it in the first place.

Granted but that in itself does not explain the hidden meaning of this gesture.

-- Mon Dec 30, 2013 5:57 pm --

Ok, fair enough, but I think I'll still hold fire before I hang anybody before the facts are clarified.

The picture Samir posted showed right hand onto left arm all the others show opposite.
Any difference other than obvious??

Maybe it's a reverse reverse gesture? It's getting like the fookin Hokey Cokey now.
