Right,everyone dig deep.......
----------------------------------------

Following Madrid's Champions League triumph last month, Di Maria admitted he was unsure over whether he would remain at the club for next season.

And according to reports, the winger will be allowed to leave the Bernabeu if Madrid receive a £40m offer.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all interested in luring the Argentina international, 26, to the Premier League.

Big-spending French clubs Monaco and PSG have previously shown interest in Di Maria, who is currently preparing with Argentina ahead of the World Cup

Fucking restrictions.... otherwise would be easy buy.

Absolutely. I don't really think we need to invest on attacking players, but Di Maria is one I'd make an exception for. People wanted Fabregas but Di Maria would offer us far more in terms of having a direct option besides Navas. If he went to any other English club I'd be gutted because he'd improve them so much. He was one of the best attacking midfielders in the world last season, so if we can't get him I hope he stays at Real.

Pay 8m a year over 5 years. Whats wrong with that. Or 20m this year (supposed to have offered barca 28.5m for Fabregas) balance next year.

i will be astonished if uefa have allowed amortization after giving us a 50m cap, we could spend as much as we like if it was allowed so I can't see it.

i liked jefferson montero for ecuador, with a bit of coaching he could be a top top winger, he has everything from what i saw the other day.

tim vickery raves about him and is one of his players to make a breakthrough in this world cup.

I have to say looking at our squad and the restrictions the chances of being in for this guy are extremely remote.

If we want him and are interested there are two ways to look at it:

1) Barring departures of any key players, we do our primary business (CB, RB, DM, GK) with the allowed 49 million. Then, raise as much money as possible from the sales of fringe player Richards, Garcia, Rodwell, Guidetti, Sinclair, and top it off with the sale of one of Jovetic, Negredo or Dzeko. We should have 40 million to bid then.
2) Yaya out and Fabregas+Di Maria in. Should be doable, again needing fringe players to be sold.
