Angelino - 2019/20 Performances

I’ve been critical of him in the past but the last couple of times I’ve seen him he’s looked good, played well tonight.

Got my vote for man of the match yesterday after a terrific performance. I hope the injury isn't too serious.

Very poor in both Asia Trophy games. Poor distribution, poor positionally, rash decisions causing him to commit himself leaving us wide open and misjudged quite a few diagonal balls. Left-back still a problem for the coming season. Thank goodness Zinchenko chose not to go to Wolves at the start of last season.

I think anybody watching him last night it was clear to see he was the exact opposite of the 2 stinkers he had pre season (and this poster is now eating his hat). His passing and decision making were superb, sharp quick in defence was a feature of his game. What a left peg he has crossing, shooting it was all there to see last nigh. Okay Southampton are dog shit but that doesn't take anything away from that performance.

A timely reminder that anyone who judges anyone with sincerity based on a preseason game is a bit of an idiot...

Apart from preseason every game he's played he's impressed me, his pass and move play is on another level to mendys you can tell he's grown up within the CFA ecosystem

What a cross he's got on him, wouldn't mind him getting a few more games to give mendy a rest now Zinchenko is injured.

Got my vote too, thought he had an excellent game and for me he is better than Mendy.
Really sorry to see him go off injured as I think he could make the left back position his own.
Hope the injury was just cramp !

Angelino walked through the mixed zone at the Etihad and 'didn’t look to have any issues moving', despite being substituted after going down holding the back of his leg tonight. [@spbajko]

Wasn't too far from where he went down last night, and I'm by no means a medical expert, myself and those near me assumed it was just cramp.

Thought he played really well. A great left foot. Unlucky not to have at least one assist/goal.

He needs to take his chance while Zinchenko is out.
