Another Shiekh buys a stake........

Tevez says your club is a bit of a chip shop. Still, never mind, eh?

is sheik mansour richer than this guy?

wheres ajay and dubai blue when you need em
RAK is a very small emirate and has no natural resources. It's a fairly big regional player in cement and ceramics, but neither of those things are oil!!

Just spoke to a journalist friend of mine at The National and they're convinced over there that it's Portsmouth and that Al Fahim was only ever acting as a broker for the deal, much like he did for ADUG.

That would explain why he was able to say that he and the RAK Sheikh weren't investing together, and most people over here thought it was a bit suspicious when it was first reported that Al Fahim was buying a club as his company is in the shit and his personal wealth isn't of the size that could make a major difference in the Premier League.

If you remember back to our takeover, Al Fahim was widely reported as our new owner at first, when in fact he just brokered the deal. The same thing may be happening again.

They're just speculating though as they honestly don't know which team it is.

Thanks for the info Dubai Blue

Presumably Sheikh Ahmeds worth is not in the same league as Mansour, given RAK isn't a major oil state?

Why only a 60% stake ?
Surely if money was no object then they'd buy the club in it's entirety ?
This isn't on the same scale as when we were bought imo.

Exactly.

Not Pompey

Wont have as much money as our guy but even if has 1/3 its not exactly a pittance is it! Dont want anymore clubs having money at the moment. Its hard enought to convince players of our plan as it is.

From what I can gather, "Darker shade of blue" will be a happy chappy rather soon.

Only found out about it about 30 mins ago having been at my dads today .
I know I stated in another thread that I'd been told about a possible take over a week or so ago , but there was nothing to back it up at the time . The same woman also thought Tevez might be going to Everton , so there ya go lol .

I can't see us selling 60% , or how that 60% would come about across our board , so doubt it will be us .

It would be interesting if it was though , which might explain somewhat the air of mystery surrounding us at the moment .

Probably something else to cling to in vein .

Are you tripping or something?

If I told you that Keith Wyness was appointed ' non executive director ' of a company called Fluid Leader Group in July last year ( same month he left Everton ) .

The company received investment last year from a certain Sheikh Faisal Bin Khalid
Mohammed Al Qassimi who also took up the appointment of ' non executive director ' , would you admit there is a connection , and a definite possibility that Everton may well be the club ?

Still think I'm tripping ?

Do you really think Tevez is holding out untill July to make a decision between Chelsea and City ?

Tevez will be a blue for sure , but it will be a Royal Blue .

Muwahahahaha :P

It could well be Everton. Their shareholding is fractured enough for somebody to buy 60% if they buy the directors shares, and they were in initial discussions with the middle east last summer. However, the shareholdings of various directors means it would be very messy, and why would anybody buy 60% to then pump in millions which they would not get 100% of the return.

I would also tell you that a couple of posters on here know far more about the ownership of your club and the stadium move than you would ever know, so dont embarrass yourself.
