I am hoping a form of reverse psychology might come into play.

Wasn't he the subject of 'comments' from the moaning one recently ahead of the game at red scouse - suggesting that Taylor may feel the need to show that he is not a scum fan.

Perhaps this could be Taylor's opportunity to further show that he is not a scum fan by receiving criticism post-match for having been favourable towards us....

The main problem I see is not the existence of these Referee for ... threads, its the fact that there is not a single appointment which isn't met with an "oh for fucks sake" "bent bastard" "fucking incompetent" response. Frank makes a fair point in that the level of scrutiny on referreing decisions only serves to highlight these opinions but there are some pretty reasonable refs out there and for the record, rag or not Taylor IMO is one of the better refs out there.

The fact that some posters on here are effectively saying that another poster should not air their views because they don't fit in with the majority view is bizarre and worrying.

Firstly, what is the point of a forum? The clue is in the name - a 'forum' for a person's view

Secondly, the minute you go down that route it becomes like a Trump rally - people winding each other up into a frenzy and throwing out people who aren't screaming 'lock her up' through their frothing lips. A myopic viewpoint that stifles debates and leads to closed minds.

Alternative viewpoints are healthy and necessary. Otherwise it's just a big circle jerk where no one learns anything.
