Closest i've come is about a foot. Was behind 2 lads in Florida and one of them got one! So i've seen one
Got one on the 1st at my home course Heyrose a while ago but didn't see it go in so it was a bit surreal. I was looking in a stream at the back of the green convinced it had run through, and my mate checked the cup and there it was. Not come that close since until last night strangely, got one to a foot at Mottram.
Best courses I've played, Turnberry (awesome) and Silloth in Cumbria.

i got one when i was 12 years old, only started playing around 11 - wish i had one now instead of back then but its still something special to me

I play off 8 at Pike Fold.
Played 3 times this week Tuesday at Willow valley, 34 pts won, Thurs team match at home versus Greenmount, won 3 and 2 and Yesterday at Northenden Captains day out, won with 44 points 4 ball better ball with drawn partners and also won the yellow ball for our 4 ball.
What a golfing good week, 3 games 3 wins .

I got one on the 7th at Bradley park in Huddersfield in about 1993...
It's a par 4 (about 300yds), so an Albatross too! (Although we were off the winter tee, so it was more in range that day...) It over looks the M62 so every time I drive passed I remember the moment!
It was a fantastic moment and still one of the best of my life. We all went absolutely mad on the tee as a sweetly struck 3 Wood sailed straight at it down the valley, took two bounces and went in! My mate Vinnie (no not that one), who's wife had given birth the week before shouted "That was better than seeing the Baby come out!"
Typically, but understandably because I was still shaking, I hit the ball into a pond off the very next tee... *bump*
Only played once this year, don't play as often any more... must get out for a game very soon!
