Are expections too high for next season?

The ironic thing is if pep rips up trees and wins the league and a cup or two in his first year many of the same posters who hate Pellers will find a way to hate pep.

It's the law of the Internet.

So basically you think it's dead easy to learn to play like Bayern Munich with a couple of weeks training & that the other teams such ss Chelsea won't improve ?

Ok.

He won't be trying to make us play like Bayern Munich. Just like he didn't try and make Bayern play like Barca.

If he is the only manager in the world that can only perform in a year without a summer tournament then maybe he isn't the one for us.

I don't remember many posters giving Pellers the benefit of this excuse last season after the World Cup.

Ok.

Ok.

Difference between not performing & not winning the league in his first season being failure.

But of course you know that & are being deliberatley ridiculous just to try & make a point which is wasted on me seeing as I was one of those making excuses for Pellegrini for two years.

I've got us in a treble for champs league, boat race and grand national

Win the League, CL final.
Finally. Someone who isn't spinning about like a dog trying to take a shit. Hats off to you mate. That should be what's minimally acceptable. And if he fails to make the finals, win a cup instead.

All the farfing and excusing is beyond silly. We are talking about players who should be amongst the best in the league here. Even if they are not fully gelled thru October, by December they should be humming. Which gives them 5 months to wrestle the league away from anyone.

Sure, unlike the Pelegrini haters, if 5 or 6 of Pep's key players get injured, we'd take that into consideration. Too bad the same fuks who don't think the injuries are an issue now, are the same ones whining about Pep not being able to teach his system. Fucking hypocrites!

Thanks mate, some need to understand that it's extremely hard to win the Champions League even if Pep's in charge. If Pellegrini wins us the CL this year it will be a colossus achievement, he'll be a City legend if he does it and all the hate that was said about him should be thrown out of the window.

He ought to be able to cope with delays in players returning from summer tournaments. Its when you also add in the possibility of an unusually high turnover of players (with many of the new players also arriving late) that it becomes tricky. Even more so if we finish 4th this season and have to play a CL qualifier.

I'm not making excuses for Guardiola, just think its going to be a very difficult summer to make the scale of transformation that some seem to be expecting.
