If we'd lost two of those games, won two of them and drew the remaining three, we'd be four points better off. Draws are no good when you're chasing titles. The vermin have lost a game more than we have, but they've won 5 more than we have. There's your answer.jrb said:The only difference this season is RVP and our strikers not scoring consistently.
Their keeper isn't as good as ours.
Their defence isn't as good as ours.
Their midfield isn't as good as ours.
Their attack has been better than ours this season.
How the f*** can you go 6 games without conceeding a goal and still find ourselfs 10 points a drift? And even befoe the run of clean sheets, City were hardly leaking goals.
It's all if and but's, but if City/Marwood had managed to sign RVP, the league would be over by now.
I expect City to use the Mario money, double it, and go for either Cavani, Suarez, or Falcao in the Summer.
The reasons we are behind united is,
van Persia has improved them that there is no doubt.
United break faster, meaning when attacking there forwards find themselves in more 1 on 1 situations than our strikers.
We break slower giving the opposition time to get 11 back behind the ball and time to get organised.
United over the years have built up a fear factor, so if opponents find themselves up in a game they as the game goes on start to sit deeper and deeper trying to protect what they have. This means United's opponents stop as an attacking thread, it also mean united constantly have the ball and have the momentum
