But FFS to accuse our club of not giving a shit

Your highness... I never knew Mansour came on this forum?

Welcome to Bluemoon Your Highness.

Thankyou for spending the equivalent of the profit you made on the Barclays deal on MCFC.

ps... care to throw a few extra billion from behind your sofa into a fans fund for the underpaid, working class of Manchester who no longer can afford to attend your stadium (and watch every match religiously inside local pubs)

Well if you do not feel that it is OUR CLUB - well probably says it all - get on with your pathetic moaning without adding any real value.

I am a long-standing fan - almost certainly someone that has given much more to CITY in terms of time/passion/money etc than you and therefore I can easily treat such thick and childish comments with the utter contempt they deserve

I felt it was worth making a point about some on here just being pathetic attention seeking moaners- but your stupidity and desperate need to post before you think I believe makes my point more clearly.

I fail to see how referring to City as "our club" is anything other than a natural thing for a supporter to do. I habitually do it.

Correct - I would expect most passionate CITY fans to do so - and would wonder why any CITY fan would not

Oh and another thing I'll be taking my own provisions this season! I used to enjoy a pie and a pint at half time but seeing as that will add a further 7 or 8 quid to the ticket price as well, I won't be bothering thank you. I wont miss the stress of queueing as well, I tell ye'.

Wow.... Another I'm a bigger blue than you comment on bluemoon. shock horror.

For a start, I don't know you, and you don't know me, so I'm not going to presume I'm much more of a supporter than you are.
I often refer to City as "my" club or "our" club, however in the context of when we're discussing finances/businesses and so on, it's blatantly obvious who's club MCFC really is.

Yes, if we all decided to vanish tomorrow, ADUG wouldn't have a packed stadium, but I'm sure with their wealth they could afford to build a load of new houses in and around the stadium, potentially creating new customers... oh wait they're already planning this ;)

I'd love it if we had the German model, with true fan ownership, whereby fans actually own a shared percentage of the club.

Sadly, this isn't the case :(

Sure, historically all our family and friends have attended matches, shared memories/passion around the club and so on, and it is "our" club in that we support it, but MCFC could quite easily be taken out of Manchester tomorrow, with matches being played in Abu-Dhabi and the only way you'd ever see this team play ever again is via your sofa.

Same happened with Wimbledon, taken away from their roots, moved to Milton Keynes, changed the clubs name.

Cardiff City fans probably refer to the club as "their" club, yet the bluebirds are now all watching a team kitted out in red... why? because the "owner" said so.

I'm not for one second comparing Mansour with a cowboy like Vincent Tan, but my point stands:

ADUG own MCFC.

We support MCFC.

We can be replaced by fans in another community quite easily with the resources these people have.

You can be replaced by somebody within your own community. Somebody took my season ticket when I moved to Canada at the end of the 1978 season. Now it costs me at least three thousand dollars to watch a match and my mates son is usually the one to miss out.

Everybody appreciates what Sheikh Mansour has done for City.

Apart from saving the club, investing in it, and eventually getting his money back and making the club self-sufficient, I'm pretty sure pricing City fans out of the club wasn't one of his goals when he bought the club.

Unfortunately matchday ticket prices are now heading to a point where many City fans will be/are alreay priced out.

I will refer you back to what Khaldoon Al Mubarak promised us after Sheikh Mansour bought the club.

He lied. Bullshit political speak on his part as I'm sure you will agree with. The club couldn't give two s#%#s if I gave up my season card. I actually think they would be quite happy, flog my seat for £60-£70 or whatever and happy days. As I said earlier in the thread, how can long serving fans have a genuine affinity with a club who is so intent on bleeding you dry.
