Does Stockport count?
Absolutely.
I lived on Sherdley Road (behind the primary school, which I attended). Any time I've been back has felt like going home.
After my time: left in ‘67. Can’t remember any teachers’ names.I was there from 1969 to 1972, and I remember one teacher called Miss Pollard.
Unfortunately we moved to Bury after that :-(
Think you need the "proud to be a stokie" thread.Does Stockport count?
Aye weve got indoor plumbing and electric now and not a flat cap in sight ;)Reading another thread about coming to 1st City game got me thinking.
Yes I class myself as a proud manc but can't remember the last time I was in Manchester apart from Maine Road and the Etihad.
Shown the kids were grandads and my parents and me lived in Burnage and Didsbury but that's it !
I think next year I'll do a few days and have a proper look round, I think Manchester will have changed from my memories as a 6 yr old back in 1966 lol.
Vimto. Pfff call yourself a manc ;)Proud Abbey Hey Gortonian and Manc

£5 says you’re a fkn scouser.Being "a Manc" has nothing to do with the architecture or the buildings or the shit state of the place in some areas.
Growing-up in Manchester shaped me in to the person I am today. Sharp, funny, self-deprecating, passionate, ruthless, kind, generous, proud, strong, dignified, honest, compassionate, ambitious, loyal, humble and able to empathise.
These are some of the qualities that define "a Manc" and yes I'm proud to be one.
Outed. Fiver's on its way lah.£5 says you’re a fkn scouser.
With that response you clearly aint a scouser, no scouser would ever admit to being wrong or pay a betOuted. Fiver's on its way lah.
