Robbie m8, don't force me to make comparrisons between our clubs as you know I know my history, and it could be very deflating for you to read it in black and white luvvy.
Will you be travelling over tomorrow?
You're clutching at straws mate.History will have absolutely no baring on what happens today. You can write it in black, white, pink or green-it's still excatly that.Yesterday.
You can post your league title wins all you want (the last one being 1987) but it won't do you any good...it doesn't matter.
Sunderland have won the league 6 times. So what?
Preston have won the same number of titles as us-two.So what?
We've got the record for the biggest English league attendance of all time-so what?
Will it effect today,in any way at all?No.
It's just nice to read about,to fall back on in difficult times-to deflect from the bleak ,stark reality of the present with no real hope of any change.Trust me-as City fans,we wrote the book on "hoping" for good times-the way you have to now Tesco have pulled out..;-)
I still love watching and wincing at our div 2 play-off win-fun times travelling to Macc and Wycombe, feeling like the world was against us.The comraderie was amazing.
But would I want to go back there? No thanks.
So let's hope thinking about your " 'istree " keeps you warm through the bleak Scouse footballing winter of discontent. And hope to hell that we don't want any more of your squad...;-)
So I'll just keep looking forward to a bright future, thanks.
And no-I'm not going today.I'm saving my dosh for the real stuff on Tuesday and away at the swamp.
