Armani acquitted of all charges (update p21)

Re: Armani - Sierra Leone & Donations Link (merged)

Just a though Howard, Phil and Alex but this thread has had only 500 views and the one which has been around one day below, about the blue planning his Christmas trip, has had nearly 2000 in a fraction of the time this has been live.

I think there are two reasons for this.

People tend not to see the sticky topics at the top. I didn't see it for two days and I read this forum most days. We can always bump it up if it falls away.

A lot of people will steer clear of thread titles with "donations" in it. I would look to maybe change the title to something along the lines of "Fellow blue imprisoned". I know it's a bit red top but the fact a thread has had so few views would, I think, point to these reasons.

Re: Armani - Sierra Leone & Donations Link (merged)

Manchester blue makes a good point.

I initially missed the thread by assuming this was a bump of the existing SLMCFC appeal.

We need to get people's attention on this and if that means a shouty headline then so be it.

I appreciate that MCFC might be reluctant to wade into a row involving another country's FA/legal system (however bent), but their awareness is absolutely vital on this.

Great news nij, I hope they can help Armani fight this ridiculous situation.

Thanks for the many tweets, howard. Come on guys, let's get this going and see what good it can do. For anyone who uses twitter, please just copy-paste this into your feed and retweet when you can, and let's see how much we can do to support Armani:

Please share this link #supportArmani #MCFC <a class="postlink" href="http://sierraleonemcfc.blogspot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://sierraleonemcfc.blogspot.com</a>

Good, hopefully it will reach the ears of Abu Dhabi as well..But until something happens we can at least show our support on twitter etc.

Re: Armani - Sierra Leone & Donations Link (merged)

Had no response from the anti-corruption branch of the SL government.

I don't want to see this go to court. Its a farce. It needs to be stopped now, and accusers put inside.

Just fired off an email to the High Commisioner in London. Anything's worth a try.

Re: Armani - Sierra Leone & Donations Link (merged)

I've posted this on a few other City forums, but half of them I'm waiting to be validated on. If anyone does frequent any other City places, or posts blogs, or anything, please do spread the word.
