I thought Nunes was going to be a game changer after that run for a split second. Then I don’t think he played a forward pass.
Still don’t know why the ref blew early for the foul on Rico instead of playing on.
Gutted by the result but on this occasion it just felt like the arse players wanted it more.
Oh and I’d be embarrassed if our players rolled around and play acted like that. Thank fuck Jesus was sold.
It’s a marathon not a sprint, we’ll be there again the end of the season.

Didn't deserve to lose either (or win to be fair). Especially Wolves. Arsenal was more down to us but Arsenal weren't brilliant either.

And yet everyone on the pre match thread was saying ‘great lineup!!’ And that their lineup was suspect.

Kovacic feels like a player who is great when we are cruising and winning, but put him into a tight tough game and he’s gone missing.

Also felt today we really didn’t have our usual shape. We had no width at all until doku came on and even then we never really got at them.

Didn’t deserve to lose.

0-0 would’ve been a fair reflection as both teams were bang average.

We cannot get away from the fact you cannot be without your 2 best “controllers” and your 2 best “scruff of the neck” players against a very good Arsenal side and genuinely expect much out of the game.

Our proper midfield murders them today.

We need those 2 lads back as soon as possible.

genuine question:

I thought that Josko could not play wide in the past because Pep always let Jack hold the width and let Josko move in the middle.

But today it clearly showed that Josko can play wide and overlap. But Pep let Phil (then Doku at times) play more like a inside forward.


It just does not make any sense to me at all. If we want Josko to overlap the winger, why not use Jack? Why not let Phil/Doku go down to the touchline and let Josko move inside more often? The combination just does not make any sense to me.

But maybe I am wrong.

As expected really, we are a shadow of the side that won the treble last season. We cannot keep a clean sheet anymore and we are absolutely toothless up front even with the best striker in the world playing for us.
No idea whats going on, we have zero pace, zero creativity and cannot get Haaland into games and the few chances he does get which he scored for fun last season, he now has turned into Sampras.
Its not a one off also, we are only where we are in the PL due to an easier run of fixtures up to now but we have been miles off it for over a month and with Brighton, Rags, Dippers and Chelsea all coming up, if things dont change we will drop further behind.
3 defeats to PL teams in last 4 games. We laugh at the Rags but if they beat us, which is possible with how we are playing (and usually officiated there) they are only 3 points off us.
And its time to sack yet another set piece coach, is there any club in the league so shocking at them

Some bugs coming up and on that showing it’s very worrying indeed…
