Fucking hell Dribble , don’t fan his fannying flames with Laporte over Stones ! Although I agree tbh , Laporte can switch it far better than Johnny Johnny Stones !

Stones is our best CB imo...

However I think we're better balanced with a right & left footer in central defence, hence Dias/Stones/Akanji RCB & Aké & Laporte at LCB. )(

To be honest, we're absolutely blessed at CB & bringing in Akanji for £15m was a masterstroke. When Stones went off injured, I was gutted for the guy, but didn't get that season defining feeling I've got in the past.

Even without Stones, we've got 4 very able International Class CB's. Just wish we could say the same for Left Back! :-/

The fullback position has always been a bone of contention, same about Stones - so gutted for the lad , but like you say , we are blessed with top drawer centre backs who all give something different to the team. Akanji has been a really shrewd signing - who kept the best team the planet has ever seen quiet last night, Ake was immense , keeping Saka in your back pocket all night is no mean feat. Blessed at CB that’s for certain.

Agreed. Gave himself the excuse that he didn't put out his best team should they have been beaten and that's all we heard after the game. A shithouse of the highest order Arteta which bodes well for the rest of the season.
 
Don't know if it's been posted but pep was close to saying someone isn't happy that Ake is doing well.

That's is a huge number for segregation purposes.

Re think needed if this is the case,

Although generally the capacity is about 53400 or thereabouts with normal segregation.

North Stand extension needed ASAP with proper areas for away fans
