I know the players adhere to Pep’s instructions but sometimes, they have to take the initiative. Foden has done that on a number of occasions but I’ll put it down to not being fully in the groove yet. There are a few times where a first time shot would’ve been ideal.

Gvardiol is one of the dangerous attacking threats in the team. In situations like today, should be the one trying to smash them as he had Raya sweating.

Totally agree. I know a lot will criticise the performance but when you're up against that... not just the first half but the deliberate block on Rodri after 2 seconds, and the knock that got him injured, dragging Edi down for the second goal and so on;snide little dirty fouls that are hard to spot. They obviously know how inept Oliver is and played to it. That might scrape you through the odd tricky tie, but it will never win you a title.
 
absurd tactics from us 2nd half. slow, sideways, and carefully making sure all long shots are front of Walker and Dias strictly them being our worst long shot takers.

why not Nunes, Mcatee, Grealish much sooner. Gvardiol easily better in shooting than Dias, how comes Dias tried 5-6 times and one shot was worse than the next.


ths was a winnable game after the red card, but just got a draw 98th minute.

shocking that they did not even think to give away a freekick close to their box because they were happy with us not trying to go into the box just slow passing between Aknji, dias, Kova, thats all we did. they didnt need to give away a freekick as we were no danger to get into the box.

Grealish, Foden and even Nunes, McAtee needed to come much sooner if they are there to take some of the long shots Walker, Dias fucked up it might be different game. were we scared of any counter from their own box that we kept Akanji, Gvardiol, Walker, Dias up? if yes it cost us the win probably.

but even Gundo not coming deep for a long shot just trying to receive something in the box that was never arriving.

Grealish did well with beating his man and earn a corner, then also with the short corner fter that that led to the goal.

same 1 point as last season in this fixture, not happy about that, as they had 24 hours less to prepare for this game and played away in CL and also played 45mins with 10 men.
annd we also lost Rodri?

not much for me to celebrate. at least 2 points less for them in the last minute, but we really should have done more and better in 2nd half. Arteta wanted all our shots to be taken by Dias our worst shooter and we did that.
 
Started very well.then an injury and Kyle happened..Special mention to Ederson the brave.

Thank god we grabbed a draw. Fingers crossed for Rodri but it didn't look good.
 
As people are pointing out Grealish got us that goal. Because he went at his man 1 v 1. But we choose to ignore Doku over and over again and keep recycling the ball down the right hand side going nowhere. There was space down the left all game, a quick ball and we would have been 1 v 1 over and over again.

Man up you tart he only jarred his knee and if he is out for a few months we have Kovacic, Rico and Ilkay to fill the gap anyway.
 
I have to say, we played terribly in the second half. The defenders were just passing the ball left and right, there was absolutely no creativity. That's why I'm worried about what will happen after KDB, because without him we don't have a truly creative player who can conjure something out of nothing. Foden is simply not like David Silva or KDB. Savio played really well in the first half, but in the second half he didn't dare to take on anyone with the ball, even though it seems he can beat his man. Doku is the usual brainless player, unfortunately. I don't know what's up with KDB, but I hope neither he nor Rodri gets injured.
