Arsenal (H) - Post Game Thread

title is there for the taking. Villa at home and spurs aways the rest are piss easy. Liverpool are not playing well and Arsenal will fuck it like they always do.

If anything today showed, it is that Arsenal can change tactics and hold on.

This team needs a serious refresh and tactical rethink. Zero pace, zero creativity bar Kev and a total lack of goals throughout.
Earlier this season I thought 3rd is where we would finish and still think that.
A shocking transfer window, players becoming older and more injury prone and unable to get the ball to our striker who is just not on it this season when he does get a rare chance.
Taylor predictably Did his job today to stop us building up any rhythm and an utter disgrace how they only got 1 card for a foul and 1 for time wasting which he then ignored with a joke 5 minutes added on.
Given our injuries it’s not a disaster but I just cannot see us winning the games we need to win and both Arsenal and Dippers dropping many, esp Dippers.

It hasn't been in our hands for quite some time, Liverpool and Arsenal have very difficult fixtures and they'll drop points along the way.

No doubt Liverpool are in the driving seat but that can all quickly change.

Win our last 9 games and we've an incredible opportunity.

I've seen teams in the bottom 3 come with more intent. However, it's a good point for them and dropped points for us.

How can it possibly be a good point for them?

They were top of the league with it in their hand this morning, now they need the dippers to drop points.

'We are still not out of it' probably sums it up better than 'we are still in it' just now. Currently kind of feels only a matter of time before it swings heavily one way or ther other. It can change very very quickly, I'm happy to bide my patience till then.

The pervious teams would have battered Arsenal today, battered them, they were shocking and there for the taking

I am livid, this game goes into same category as Chelsea, Spurs, Pool home games, they were there for taking but our inability to test Raya at all is fucking disappointing...

we had the chance to to put a marker down by winning at Anfield and today in quick succession but we only got two draws due to a stupid defensive error and a complete failure of creating some decent chances at home today.

just not good enough, last year with Gundo,Mahrez and genrally better form we rip apart a club that plays like Arse today.

our pressing upfront is horrible, Foden, Haaland, KDB all did fuck all in this sense, and neither did they create any panic for them. it had a feeling this game could go another 90 minutes with Raya not needing to show a save.

probably bit less of hunger after treble, pretty mediocre replenishment, KDB out for too long, Grealish is 5th of the player he was last year, Haaland about half of the player, defence is generally wobbly, all this results in us not able to beat any of Chelsea, Spurs, Pool, Arse (or the worst Palace) at home.(or Chelsea, Pool, Arse, Wolves away) well those lost points will be missed.

bit worried about Villa now who was the team who we could have lost by 3/4 goals against in the away game as Emery completely owned Pep there tactically they ripped us apart with there pressing and tempo and intensity.

whie rivals have fantasic easy games, Arse-Sheffield, dippers-luton. about 4-5 goals for each.

Agree about hunger, but to be fair even Pep admitted to that!

I believe we can beat Madrid but playing like we did today won't cut it. The league is doable but unlikely

Prefer the 16/17 team to this one.

Worst team under Peps tenure.

You say that but upto about now last season we didn’t look particularly great(think we had one point more going into this game). Funny old game as not a fucking chance watching them every week last seasons team were a better side than a couple of other seasons under Pep. Yet the history books will probably forever say they were our greatest. Kind of why this season you keep hoping something will click.Probably a season too far to manage again especially as we look far from great at times.

Still well in the hunt for a trophy or 2 though so it ain’t too bad :) and we’ll improve next year.

We are always off it the first game after the international break but it was still a poor performance on reflection. But they came to defend and we just couldn't break them down.

For them though, a team chasing the title, to come and park the bus and only have 28% possession, is a joke!

We need to bounce back on Wednesday now.
