Arsenal - Post match thread

One of the best posts by Chicago blue I've read. Bang on. Do these whingers prefer the old dross? Things go wrong..change things. Takes time. Mancini...thank you.. Pellegrini thank you.. And the sheikh.. Nothing can thank him enough.
My problem with pellegrini is he purposely demolished our season out of sheer spite.
Can be no other reason for his negligence towards the Premier league. I didn't think he did a lot wrong against arsenal except the entire universe could see we need to make changes before their second goal. Ah well one game and it's over.
Another thing, any "super fan" having a go at blues in this thread wants to hello at Swansea please do. I won't hold my breath though.

I was certainly not a Pellegrini fan by the end and unfortunately I couldn't make the game. I was sad that people couldn't stay behind to show their respect for what he achieved over his time here.

I agree this season in the PL we have gone backwards. I really do think a large portion of the blame can be placed at the illuminous pink and orange feet of some of the players.

Think the manager chairman and people at city must live in a bubble. They probably thought fans would stay behind(wait 20mins) give Pellegrini and the team a clap! sorry if they were in touch with the majority of us fans they should know how we feel about the last 18 months under this manager, probably why they looked in shock in the directors box.

Not sure if the supper fans go to away games TBH, you got in the bar late on Sunday btw

Pelligrini has taken us backwards??? I'm not so sure.... it has been a strange season and that's no mistake! (Leicester and all that) but the fact is: if Bony had swept that shot in yesterday - it was about 4" too high, we'd be OK now. Had Aguero been about a yard further back, when he shot towards the end of the Real Madrid match we'd be all dancing in the streets! Let's face it, at the top end the margins are very fine & Pep Guardiola ain't in the CL final either so let us give Mr Pelligini a break, OK
The problem is they did not go in. The Bony shot ironically one of his best contributions of the season a campaign which the guy was a continuous square peg in a round hole was only significant due to the calamitous performances dished out all too often this year. Kun's effort was about his only contribution in the entire 180 mins against Madrid in which we were outclassed by a far from vintage Real. As I have said before if we don't get 4th the managers legacy will be one of relative failure imo.

That's the concern for me. How can the club be so oblivious to the disconnect it is creating with the fan base? Instead of giving us cheaper ticket prices they still think we want gourmet pies, annoying presenters and shit montages. We do a lot of things right but so much wrong.

What Bill said a few posts above is what truly angers me about Pellers. That he purposely demolished the league.

I am not sure that is how I would put it - somewhat implies a downing tools mentality and that doesn't seem to me to be where he was coming from.

But he was quoted in some media source to the effect of "would have played a stronger side v Soton if the league had moved the fixture to Saturday."

That, to me, is unacceptable. Should not have been acceptable to anyone in the hierarchy. Smacks almost of pique similar to the trashing of the FA cup. But now with 50 mil+ in revenue next year at stake.

He's done and gone, thankfully. But this little "oh I'll show you FA" throwing toys incident is now largely how I will remember him and that's a shame. It replaces "got fantastic performances out of Nasri, Kolarov, and Dzeko in 13-14" (all instrumental in the two trophies) when the above had more or less been written off the year before by all and sundry.
