Arsenal - pre match thread.

Arsenal are 3rd atm - I can see this match going the same way as when we played 1st - Leicester and 2nd - Spurs - both games ended in defeat.
The current squad are not up to it.

Also defeats by rags 5th and West Ham 6th and Liverpool 8th. Only win against Southampton and they were outside the top 8 then! Awful.

It's going to be Strike-Back Sunday - with the senior players stung by the criticism of their Madrid disappearing act and the Real City finally turning up and putting the gooners to the sword. Boom!

I don't care who plays. I don't care if we play well. I don't care what score it is. Just win. Own goal, deflection or win 5 0. Just win

The City fans (still in the ground at 75 mins lol) have been pretty tolerant this season with some of the home performances. Obviously Sunday is Pellegrini's last game but he did get some support last night.

Having said that, if our performance is in line with performances against anyone else half decent this season and we find ourselves a goal or two down does anyone think the crowd could turn? On the manager or the players even?

No, they'll just go home. There is very little appetite for "turning".

The players were cheered off yesterday, the managers name was sung. By fans who were acutely disappointed by what they'd seen.

After the way we played the last time Kidd was in charge (Norwich at home, 3-2 loss), I think I'd rather stick with Pellegrini. Which is saying a lot after our recent performances.

Kidd is Pellegrini Lite.

No Nasri, thanks, if we are leaving out the flakes. Ditto Yaya: lost interest and wheezing and shuffling like a 60-year old. Agree strongly with making Joe captain to ring the changes and make a statement. Nacho and maybe another kid in if we haven't got enough non-bottlers.

Pellegrini will probably go

Hart
Sagna Otamendi Mangala Kolarov
Dinho Yaya
Nasri
Navas De Bruyne
Aguero

He will say that we are going to try to win the game by playing attacking football. There will then follow a lot of sideways and backwards football, City will start brightly but Arsenal will take the lead with a breakaway goal. City then charge forward and don't get back for the counter attack 2-0 . In his press conference afterwards he will say that we were unlucky and the players were tired.

But who knows, maybe this game is going to be different this time....it has to be.

Hart
Sagna Otamendi Mangala Clichy
Fernando Fernandinho
Navas De Bruyne Nasri
Aguero

Big big game this
