They are looking good and if they have the same results like the second half of last season they will win the league.. Will they get nervous though if they think they can win the league with half dozen games left? Seeing the players haven't been in that situation before?

Back at the top, and 5 "easy " games coming up....

Looks like we've blown it.

Bit early to be getting cocky don't you think ?

You have brother. Third at best for you boys.

Third will still be progress.

First will be better though .

Didn't look good today, but none of the big boys did this weekend, not surprising with the number of games played recently.

Yet to be seen if we will get nervous, would be nice if we are in the position to get nervous though, rather than the usual lets win the last 12 games to finish 4th.

Not favourites for the title by any means, but we don't look like falling away any time soon. You will probably have to beat us at our place to really nail this title. It looks like its going to be close. .

It's not the last half dozen games that will be the problem, its the 6 or 7 tough ones in a row around March time that we WILL drop points in. It's just a matter if we can build up a wee cushion by then and how many points that we can scrape together, obviously coupled with how our rivals do over this period as well.

Are Tena a new sponsor or something?

Great result for Arsenal on top of beating West Ham and after some bad results that is a huge boost for them.

But the panic that set in with 10 mins to go was telling. It's rare you see that from an Arsenal team. Newcastle could quite easily have scored in that period. I don't know if that's relevant or not for the rest of the season

Not true that none of the top sides played well over Christmas:

Chelsea played well at home to Liverpool, and City and Liverpool played well against each other.

What we saw yesterday is confirmation of what we suspected....Liverpool's squad strength is not as good as Chelsea. The LFC players who went into that game were already tired whereas Chelsea were stronger, and LFC had nothing on the bench.

City and Arsenal have had a lot of injuries to cope with this season yet we are both nearly through this Christmas Schedule and both are in good positions. I think Arsenal need to buy a striker as back up for Giroud. It's a big risk relying on his form/fitness

I think Arsenal will be in all the way to the last day of the season. I can see a cracking finish with Us, Chelsea and Arsenal all with a shot at the title on the last day.

The champions league is going to play a big part I think. In 2008 United and Chelsea were both top 3 sides in Europe and went all the way to the final. It allowed for Arsenal to sneak up on them and almost win the league. If Eduardo had not broken his leg, Gallas had his break down and Arsenal collapsed they could have and probably should have snuck the league. Whoever, goes the furthest in the CL will probably lose out. This could be Chelsea, because they have the best chance of going through.

I think only we have the squad depth to go to the latter champions league stages and win the league and even then down to fixture list too, seems to be fairly kind to us around the champions league matchdays compared to arsenal and Chelsea.
