fair play to the arsenal fans for coming on here and fighting their corner after that performance - unlike a few of their spurs counterparts

just a pity a lot of whats been said is garbage, especially about the money - as far as i know there was only one £40m player on the pitch today, easy to forget him i suppose after that performance

As for our away form, since sunderland, two wins and a draw, including at the best team in Europe. 3 away wins in Champs League - there are signs we're getting our act together.

Arsenal aren't a poor side, nor are Spurs and that's what would worry me most if I supported them. North London's best absolutely obliterated! 12 ffs, think about it. 12 fucking goals in 2 matches.

I dont think anyone has mentioned money. City were fantastic again at home, especially Yaya and fernandinho, they were totally dominant. From our point of view the good news is we dont have to go to city again and are still top with the toughest game of the season out of the way, if city turn their away form around they ll walk it, if not hopefully we can be there to pick up the pieces.

Still dont get why so many man city fans are ranting though...You did win . It seems you were a happier bunch back in the days when you lost every week.

Believe me mate, I'm a lot happier now than watching us v Macclesfield in the 3rd. We have attracted some fans who expect us to win 10-0 every week but I guess that comes with success and the squad we now have.

Wasn't one of Yaya's best games, but he was pretty good, agreed ;)

Arsenal have to beat Chelsea now, or their own confidence will take a big knock. That's 3 bad results back to back when everyone was building this up as their test.

Yes, in the 120 seconds that the scoreline remained at 3-2, it was clear that the Tarqs looked menacing. Why they didn't thrash us 7-3 is a mystery to me.

F*ck me, how sh*t were they today? Seen better midfields in the Stockport Under 15 League. Wiilshere has to be the most over rated player in the league. Bloody awful. What a bunch of cockney tossers. Listening to 606 on the way home tonight some deluded Gonner reckoned it should have been 5-5 after our dodgy pen and the offside goals that weren't allowed etc etc. what he failed to notice through his red and white tinted specs was the navas miss when he rounded the keeper, yayas effort just past the post, the 17 chances the team tried to set up for Nasris goal... You get the drift.

Just accept you were well dicked today, our away form is already improving and instead of being nine points ahead if us this evening it's only three. Onward and upwards City

Today we dry bummed the league leaders. We put 6 goals past the 'best defence in the league' which included the mighty 'Per'. We put 6 goals past the side with the 'best midfield' the PL has ever witnessed. A midfield which had the hope of English football in it, a certain Wank Wilshere, a midfield which contained the mighty Aaron Ramsey, and the signing of the season Mesut Ozil (signed for £42-50 and a wage of a fiver a week). We raped a side containing One Trick Walcott and the great Olivier Giroud, and so yes, we should be rightfully proud of plucky little team.....BUT........

We are never going to win anything unless we get our away form sorted. FACT. Unless we start winning away we will win nothing. FACT. Unless we manage to put some results together away, we will struggle FACT. In fact.........we need to sort our away form out, or we will never overtake the mighty Arsenal.

I cannot believe that nobody has actually pointed this out.

Clinging on to small hopes (lets be honest, I've got to after today), is that City have played all the main rivals bar Chelsea at home in the first half of the season. It means in the 2nd half they've still to go to Old Trafford, The Emirates, White Hart Lane, Anfield, Goodison, even Liberty Stadium and St James Park.

Arsenal still have Anfield, Stamford Bridge, Goodison and White Hart Lane to go, so maybe I am clutching at straws.

Chelsea perhaps has the kindest fixture list, and will only have to go to The Etihad, and Anfield, having already been to Old Trafford, The Emirates soon, White Hart Lane, Goodison and St James Park.

Although, this might mean the square root of feck all if the teams keep dropping points against the so called lesser teams!

We got chance in jan though with nice fixtures to hopefully bulid a very big lead. But we see how week from 23rd to news years day fixtures to see how its goes

I said earlier in the "Post Match" thread that in my time, and I go back to the late sixties as a little boy going to Maine Road with my Uncle and my Grandad that I can't recall a finer City performance.

I truly believe we will now move on from here. The Defence seems to be sorting itself out and unlike some I thought we defended well today overall and we will likely improve in that department further when Joe Hart is back and playing like he can.

It is also possible that we can move up another gear on the attacking side - we missed some very reasonable chances today despite scoring six. I am convinced that at some point this season we will score double figures in a game.

So, all in all I am pretty sure we are a better bet for the title than Arsenal.

To dismiss them then though on the basis of today's result is foolish in the extreme. Despite the scoreline apart from Ozil and Ramsey who were gash, most of their side had a decent game and at 3 -1 down they bust a gut to make a draw and therefore were ripe for slaughter.

Gooney 2; despite labouring the issue makes a really valid point when he talks about our consistency (which I am convinced will come). They have been the more consistent side and we are almost halfway through the season. That's why they have the three point lead.

I remember sticking it to Rags after the 6-1; I wasn't feeling so cocky as we went into injury time against QPR !!.

Arsenal to me are by far the biggest threat out there.

I'm not writing Arsenal off at all for the title, they are a good side and that was a great game of football.

However, it may just be that we have exposed previously unseen deficiencies in Arsenals game today, and other teams may start to exploit that (hopefully).

Cracking second goal from Walcott, seriously like him, would be good in our squad.

Gonna be any mix of Arsenal, Chelsea and City in the top 3 I reckon. Everton, Liverpool and Spuds fighting it out for that 4th spot, it's a seriously strong league this year.
