Arsenal Thread 2015/16

And Corzola. For once in umpteen years they turned up playing the rags, hit them from the kick off, didn't take the foot off the gas until the result was almost a formality, I suspected they might given their previous shit set of results. They'll falter again though, though make top four, that's Wenger's remit.

They usually turn up vs the rags. Dominate the game then some how lose it.

I thought their second half was more impressive than the first, they showed a level of resilience not seen in years, effectively shut off the game, and United were never ever going to score.

On yesterday's basis if they can keep that level they'll be a huge threat, but questions will always arise over their consistency.

The funny thing is we've actually been probably the 1st or 2nd most consistent side in the last few seasons in the 2nd half of the season. Its the first half we've fucked up but if we can get through that being no more then 5-8 points behind the leaders, i would be very confident of challenging for the title (not saying we'll win it, but properly challenge till the end).

please keep up the rags were dominate in the second half

I've seen so many opposing views to this. Did we let utd play and have the ball knowing full well we were in complete control and could shut them down once they got near our goal, or were utd in control?

I was at the game and can confidently say it was the former. Watching on tv doesn't give you the full picture but it was very clear we decided to sit back a bit and let them 'play'. There was no point committing men forward at 3-0 which we've been guilty of before. Put it this way - had we done that and utd pulled a goal or 2 back or maybe even 3, we'd have been slaughtered by everyone, how we don't know how to manage and close out games etc. Thats exactly what we did on Sunday.

I have to agree, it was a good bit of game management

Yeah arsenal do seem to have a good last 1/4 of the season bit like us think last few season we have took between 15 to 18 points from our last 6 games..

We know you did. I think some are being sarcastic.
It was a good plan. Give them the ball, as they looked like that hadn't seen one before ;-)
