Arsenal Thread 2015/16

Well, its a pretty literal way to solve the lack of signings at arsenal.

What a cold cut beast Alexis is. I like his relentless style of play.

He's something Arsenal haven't had in a while in mentality--usually I'd have been sure Arsenal would've bent over for the rags.

I remember a game last season where Arsenal had come back to draw in a game they were favored, and while everyone was celebrating at the end, Sanchez was nodding in disapproval muttering "not good enough".

And Corzola. For once in umpteen years they turned up playing the rags, hit them from the kick off, didn't take the foot off the gas until the result was almost a formality, I suspected they might given their previous shit set of results. They'll falter again though, though make top four, that's Wenger's remit.

They're probably our only title rivals this year, was a big fuck up not taking a chance to leave them 8 points behind with that West Ham match.

I thought their second half was more impressive than the first, they showed a level of resilience not seen in years, effectively shut off the game, and United were never ever going to score.

On yesterday's basis if they can keep that level they'll be a huge threat, but questions will always arise over their consistency.

please keep up the rags were dominate in the second half

Arsenal have evolved over the last few years from flat track bullies who couldn't win the big games to a team capable of beating the best team in the world one week and losing to minnows the next, the international break couldn't have come at a worse time for them as I can't see them retaining that focus for the next 12 days when they won't be together as a group for most of it.

I understand why they dropped the tempo at 3-0 yesterday and opted to hold what they had, Arsenal teams in the past have been guilty of dropping points by being unable to manage and close out games (Newcastle 4-4 springs to mind along with Wigan 2-3 and a 2-2 draw with us a while back) but that game had the potential to be their sick swan and I think they've missed a trick.
