And he played over a minute more... It's gone but (call me blinkered) the same rules absolutely do not apply to us... If we need a goal the whistle goes bang on the time, every time
It seems that's exactly what happened against Forest. Some were asking where the six minutes Arsenal got against Bournemouth came from and there was time added on to that. Against Forest I think the whistle was blown on four minutes of extra time despite the time wasting.

I hate Liverpool big time, but also have respect for what they do and how good they are,

about 2 or 3 weeks ago I watched them play and they were back to their old self, the press, the speed, the chances, it looked good, only down to them was the league table and the points gap to a top 4 place and could they get back in the race, Now look at them, it's not will they be top 4 team, its when, Even United could find them self in the fight for a top 4 place with Liverpool and Newcastle,

I still feel Arsenal is close to winning the title and the games at Anfield and at the Etihad will be the games that sort out the winner, after yesterday's Liverpool thumping of united they will be hard to beat Liverpool at Anfield,
Their press and tempo at Anfield is not easy to play against in the style that city and arsenal like to play,
they are all over teams playing out from the back and make you look daft at times,

Also, You get nothing at Anfield? the match officials and VAR are so behind Liverpool, you have to be 100% to take anything away from there when Liverpool needs the points,

Going forward depends on the here and now for Arsenal, if they get over the line then they can build something,
but slip up and don't win the title it could be ugly from the fans, then the pressure will defo mount up on the manager and players next season and you will need a flying start,

look whoever wins the title will be well-deserved, if Arsenal gets over the line then I will be the first to say well done, even if you don't and manchester city pip you, our fans are not glory hunters and like to rub it in your face, we will say well played unlucky you put up an amazing fight lets go again next season,

My opinion from Liverpool was from watching them a fair bit, but also listening to their fans and how worried they were. The defence was looking vulnerable, even when Van Dijk came back, their high tempo high energy midfield was looking shot. Fabinho was looking like his legs had totally gone, Henderson was looking his age, they had to draft in an 18 year old to try and add some spark and energy. Then the front 3 were struggling to click, Salah looked a bit of a shadow of his former self, Nunez looks a threat at times and misses too many chances at others, and Gakpo was struggling to settle. They were looking miles off the Salah, Mane Frimino front 3 from a couple of years ago.

I was listening to and reading Liverpool fans thinking they genuinely need 4 or 5 top players, in fact they are still saying so. I'm yet to be convinced that they are back over a sustained period, but as long as they struggle to reach back to 95+ points levels it gives us other teams a chance.

For what it's worth though, I do think they'll turn us over at Anfield though, (and you will at The Etihad), as I just don't think this team is strong enough or resilient enough yet to go to the toughest grounds in the league and get results yet.

The best example of injury time distortion / bias against City is the Spuds away game. That was absolute bollocks.

Because ermmm they were no where near a pen, ball booted at someone is not a pen = correct decision
Premier League Handball Rule amendment, subsection 13, bullet point 5c; "unless said player is a Manchester City player and the resulting penalty will add "entertainment" to a tight or important game - Please note - Explanation for said decision can be made at a later date after scrutinizing the laws at leisure and finding a wooly enough description that allows a loophole to be formed" ;)

Arsenal is still in control of their own run-in, all you ask for is to have it in your own hands, City has to hope somebody does us a big favor and beat Arsenal and then win all our games as well, its a big task for Manchester City and Champions League is still number one target for the club,

Why don't we share the spoils? You have the Champions League and FA Cup, we have the league and Europa League, then that really pisses Utd and Liverpool off. :-)

It was actually blown 14 seconds before the four minutes were up on the actual TV screen.

I looked at my watch thinking Ederson has just enough time to launch it forward and maybe, just maybe, we win the second ball and get a shot away and IIRC the ref blew just as Ederson was about to kick the ball.

about right

I thought it was a season or two too early for this Arsenal squad.. I might have been wrong.. avoided football after our win and recorded MOTD.. sat down 20 minutes ago and at two nill down in the second half I thought here we go.. it’s ours again.. but 5 mins later I accept they are firm favourites now.. keep answering questions. They really want it.. unfortunately I think they will get it now.. fair fucks… we can’t win it every year!
Thats about right, and tbf if they can match their last 12 game points tally and we match our last twelve game tally - they win by 5 pts. I can see us both dropping so i think Arsenal in it by 4 or 5 pts ...fair play

Didn't a similar thing happen at the end of a game where Jack Grealish was about to put in a cross but the final whistle went rather than giving City one last chance? Maybe against Spurs? The opposition usually seem to waste most of the match against City but are never penalised. Unlike Ederson against Arsenal? There seems to be a pattern emerging, yellow cards are similar. The opposition gets away with numerous bookings yet City players are often booked for the first foul.

I think plenty of City fans would be happy with that. This stop/start World Cup season has been hard work.

You certainly deserve to win the Champions League, that's for sure. Would be borderline criminal if a team as good as Peps City doesn't win it. Unfortunately as you've seen it's a cup competition which means the best team doesn't always win it.

It was blown seconds before the four minutes was up IIRC
