He died in 1934
You said you don't owe it all to Wenger which is correct as he was bankrolled by your second Sugar Daddy.
Henry Norris was your first yet Wenger, your owners and a significant number of your sanctimonious followers woman about outside investment and oil money from the comfort of the Emirates Stadium.

I don’t complain and my stance on that is clear for all on here from my posts on the matter of FFP etc. I really don’t recognise your point about Arsenal fans moaning about your financial strength which has given you success. There might have been some back in the day but I don’t see that now - maybe you can provide evidence?

As for Norris and Fiszman…ancient history.

Why not focus instead on the here and now. You’ve a lot to be happy about…favourites to win your 3rd title in a row and likely to add the CL to that as well. Maybe you’ll do the quadruple.

Maybe we will

If you read my post I didnt say you were complaining.
You said that historically you don't owe everything to Wenger and I pointed out that Wengers success isn't the only successful part of your history made possible by outside investment.
Without Norris you wouldn't have bribed your way into Division 1, you wouldn't have had Higbury and wouldn't have any of the success in the 30s.
No disrespect to Charton or Millwall but without Norris your local Derby would be a lower league encounter with one of those rather than a top flight derby against Spurs.
Without Fiszman Wenger wouldn't have had the success he had and don't get me wrong I was glad at the time as it helped prevent our league becoming uncompetitive yet we have a bit of outside investment to kick start us and we are met with vitriol from the same clubs who benefitted themselves from outside investment.
To dismiss Norris and Fiszman as ancient history is laughable.
Just like the other entitled red shirts, sustained success built on outside investment which I don't have a problem with yet a lot of their followers who let's face it, only started following them because they were successful resent anyone else having a bit of success.
The likes of your media shills such as Dixon, Parlour and Keown ( I thought I was viewing AFCTV instead of BT when he commented on our win at your place last season) never miss an opportunity to bang on about money despite the fact that Arsenal have spent more than City over the last 5 year's with less income due to a lack of UCL qualification and when you have followers like Alan Davies making racist videos a lot of your followers lap this up.

The Arsenal fans in here are generally decent but they are falling into one or two dipper traps with all the giddiness. Petulance from the team/management showing a passion to win every game is one; the other so far is the moving target that is history. Always been top three club, but don't talk about previous investments in the club. That was too long ago.

Keep playing nice you guys. Don't ever go full dipper.

Were ahead of schedule in our development. We are still a very young team with more room for improvement. We will get better organically as Saka, Saliba, Martinelli, Odegaard, ect continue to level up, as well as future signings. However because we are ahead of schedule in the rebuild, some Arsenal fans still say things like 'happy with top 4', and thats great and all, but that cant be the mentality of the club and manager. And based on Arteta's behavior, it isnt.

Where will 'playing nice' get us? I fully support Arteta's antics as his behavior is indicative of a manager who not only doesn't likes to lose, but doesn't like to not win.

The fact Arteta is getting all this negative press is evidence he and Arsenal are being taken more seriously. I still remember the later Wenger years, where he lost his competitive edge - can you split Wengers tenure at Arsenal from 97-08 to 08-18, with the later years being an era were rival managers praised him but never took him seriously as a threat. In the early era he and Ferguson hated each other with a passion.

Arteta is building a new Arsenal. One that cant/wont be pushed over, an Arsenal that aims to fear no one, and for this reason Arteta is going to clash with rival managers a lot more.

:)

I don't have a problem with Arsenal as a club, apart from one or two letters. Arsenal in the top four means one of Liverpool or United out. So I wish you the best of luck, apart from the obvious matches.

You may believe what you are writing, and you may even be right. But you are in a City forum when we have been absolutely blasted for more than a decade because of who our owners are, who our managers have been and even more incredibly, who our fans are no matter how successful we have been and how good our football. You think you are getting bad press? Have a look at ours.

Also we have had to put up with assholes like Ferguson and Klopp growling and gurning on the touchline then growling and smiling at a subservient press for so long that we can recognise the behaviour when we see it. Your managers and players can be passionate and motivated to win without being petulant and crass. On here, at least, try to take that into account.

I mentioned history and petulance from the dipper side. Don't fall into the trap from the other dark side: Not arrogant, just better.

And best of luck for most of the rest of the season. :)
