Probably not as good as the fourmidable and centurions teams (yet), at the least not as consistent across the season as those teams were and not as prolific going forward. Their peak performances are arguably better though as we're a lot more solid and composed defensively in the bigger games where we've less of the ball and while being less dangerous going forwards its very, very difficult to keep us from scoring. If we can keep Bernardo for another season and do some smart transfer business (not necessarily any big names) I think this team will be the best of the lot.
Tbh although you can say the 100 point City team was the best, this team seem the most "wise" in a sense of knowing how to play vs any opponent.

More solid and composed. More experienced too, although we've lost Vinny, Aguero, Merlin from the squad, we've brought in great additions such as Dias and Haaland while Bernardo, Kev, Gundogan, Stones among others have grown as players and leaders. This team and squad bar a few players have both won and lost the lot. We've got the experience of winning multiple titles and cups, often under extreme pressure but we also remember how it felt losing out on the title to the dippers and losing the Champions League final in Porto along with the collapse against Madrid last year. You can't manufacture that, coach it or buy it in the transfer market, it has to be lived.

We could still end up with nothing to show for this season but memories, but we could also end up with 3 trophies, it'll be a journey one way or another.

Cheers guys, yeah that's what I was seeing as well. You are now big and powerful as well, and with that monster up front, you have an out ball if your being pressed like you've never really had before. Those thinking he was just a finisher are way off, he can rag doll defenders, he has improved coming deep and linking up, I don't know how you contain him to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very disappointed in the way we played, and the goals we conceded were shocking, but we were just well beaten by a much better team, and need to keep trying to improve and at least try and keep on your coat tails.

We're probably a little less predictable now as we can score goals a lot of different ways now.

Arsenal have done way better than expected this season, you just need to make sure it's a stepping stone by continuing to invest in the right areas. With CL coming up next season too, you probably need to add around 5-6 players you can rely on - some as first choice, others are rotation. What do you think you need? Any players linked? Not sure we'll be willing to sell you anyone else now...!

How do we think this current City team is looking compared to the past incarnations of Pep's teams?
Comfortably the best - no obvious "weaker" link, all with incredible footballing intelligence and awareness - and all pushing each other to even greater heights of professionalism and performance. The Centurions were incredible - but this team is another level.

On Jesus and zinchenko. Jesus trudged off behind the net when he was subbed Head down and ignored the crowd, have absolutely no problem with that, they've just bottled control of the title. Definitely not the time to start clapping the fans of the team that's just happened to regardless. Zinchenko went over to the arsenal fans at the end, first one over, clapped them then head down and straight for the tunnel, again no issue with that situation wasn't right to start clapping the rest of the ground.

Didn't see the game, but what was all that about with Phil and Ben White?
Nobody knows. phil wasn't on long enough to have any in game issues with him, this has lead to speculation it might have been releated to him being sent home from England duty, and watching the footage, The fact that he targets phil, and both walker and grealish are two of the players straight after white doesn't debunk that theory.

Looking at Arsenal they need an experience centre back and preferably a left footed one! Now would they go for Laporte if so would he go there?

No more helping hand. Time they recruited and found their own players, not ones ready made to play their system. I would be amazed if we sold them another good player.

On current form, as good as anything I've seen from us in recent years but it needs to be noted that we've only really been playing well in the past 10/12 weeks. Before that we were hit and miss for the most part and our display at Saints in the League Cup QF in January was up there with the worst City displays of the Pep era. I'm not sure why things have clicked for us since then, but it does seem to have coincided with Cancelo leaving and I wouldn't mind betting that that has at least something to do with it.

With the above in mind, I do feel that Arsenal have been the better team for a larger portion of the season than we have so it will be tough on you if you don't get over the line now. The trouble is, if you don't then few people will really remember the fantastic form you were in in the first half of the season.

I think we are scoring enough to stay up near the top, but i think we concede too many still, and for me we are too open at times in midfield. Rice is the main name we've been linked to, and i think that might help shore up the midfield a bit, and add a bit of leadership and character that we lack. Caceido as well we obviously tried to sign in January, so i think we will try at least for 1 of them. To be honest i'd like both. Ideally we get another defender and attacker as well, but be interesting to see what sort of budget we will have this summer, first year in years we will have Champions League revenue as well.

We probably just need to let this team mature and bubble a bit as well. @aguero93:20 makes a good point, sometimes you just need experience of these big games, to live through disappointments and use that to drive on more. We are a young team, and a young manager. I'm hoping both will continue to learn and evolve.

I don't think we'd accept a bid from them now.
I'd say we would be open to selling.
There are ex City players currently with Chelsea Liverpool, United, spurs, Newcastle, villa.
Some might not have gone directly from us (e.g.Sancho) but Arsenal apart, not sure if it has strengthened any of them.

Well done Robbie.
very inspirational, very moving, very WRONG!
Yes that mythical "belief energy" that will transmit to the players, the stupid fucking toothy bellend, leave that to spoon bender, professional bullshit artist and snake oil salesman Uri "nob head" Geller

I feel for Arsenal. Imagine being stuck at the end of a trafffic jam and seeing a speeding blue lorry driven by a guy wearing a Viking horned hemet in your rear view mirror.
