Arsenal Thread - 2023/24

Saw Gooner fans on Twitter spit-balling ridiculously low offers they'd be "comfortable" with to bring in Julian Alvarez lol. After the shit they pulled yesterday, we will never do business with those Bottling snakes again. They'd be lucky to hire a Manchester City janitor at this point.

Can't wait to see their reaction next summer when they come 2nd to us again and we win 5 on the bounce. Will be peak.
They could smash us next year though let's have it right

If we were grooming him he would have stayed.
If he does somehow get appointed he would have a hard job getting the backing from all fans.
The story out was that he wanted to be ensured by the board to be Pep's replacement when Pep leaves. The board can't promise that. Obviously they are not going to hand a billion-pound squad to a coach who's never managed, not even a youth team, in his career.

And it's evidential at Arsenal. He flushed out all the experienced vets (the ones that actually won him his only trophy), for young, impressionable players. The club wasn't going for some "youth policy", Arteta just had issues convincing older players that their policy became such.

He'd have problems here with the players, as well as the fans, as soon as results fall by the wayside. Even the majority of Gooners were #ArtetaOut in his first 3 years. Pep had his career history backing him, and he quickly rectified results in his 2nd season.

Talented coach no doubt, but watching their All or Nothing docu, his approach seems a little too "high school-y" for senior pros.

The letter and now the leak.

They certainly don’t mind doing the dirty work do they.

Yet they are seen by the London football press as one of the bastions of English football, who should be respected and looked up to.
