I'm posting this more as a Rival Watch for City fans rather than me being under the illusion that the average City fan is desperate to see Odegaard back but latest update is he'll be back after the next international break. So he'll miss Bolton in the 'this means more' cup, home matches against Leicester, PSG and Southampton, will have the 2 week international break to build up fitness, will probably play a part in the away match against Bournemouth and then play the home game vs Dippers.

Mikel Merino probably a similar timeframe.

Zinchenko unknown, Tomiyasu around Xmas and Tierney bless him is always injured so I'll not bother reporting on him.

Nice one. He should be back to wave his arms in front of your fans so they know when to start singing before you know it.

Seems like Arteta is crying wolf about his side having a serious injury too. Pity me, pity me, we had a nasty knock too not just those big city boys. Don't talk about the rough and rumble tactics, or the faking injuries, or the time outs, because that mean Haaland bounced a ball off my innocent players head! Lucky he didn't kill him?

Truth is, he's come out of this looking like an eternally moaning, rule bending, anti footballing, cockwomble. The good news for football is that he's actively pushing us towards a reform of the rules which could actually make football better and give more value for money to the spectators. This is football, we don't have time outs, and whilst there's a hundred ways to play the game the line should always be at the point of actually playing the game.

I wouldn't wish injury on a single player, not even a united scumbag, but if an arsenal player is truly hurt or didn't receive treatment promptly, then they only have themselves to blame. Cry wolf enough times and nobody gives a damn even when it's chewing your head clean off.

He’s a really weird bloke. I half remember a story coming out when he was with us that when someone went to his house, it had post it notes stuck all over his walls with different ideas and tactics on.

I remember it as it reminded me of John Doe in Se7en.

He comes across as sociopathic a lot of the time too.

Cheating Cowards!

Referee Michael Oliver booked Lewis-Skelly after the substitute trotted behind Raya's goal line while warming up in the 65th minute as the Gunners led 2-1.

Oliver observed the 17-year-old communicating with Raya before the Arsenal goalkeeper fell to the floor and stopped proceedings – as seen in new footage obtained by Mail Sport.

Lewis-Skelly had returned to the group of substitutes on the main touchline by the time he received his yellow card – handed out before he had played a single minute of professional football.

Arteta used the ensuing break in play to deliver a team talk to nine of his outfield players as they looked to keep City at bay.

Agree. They're just desperate to win at any cost, but I expect that's what will cost them in the end.

I'd expect them to be too hyped up for the return fixture and someone to be red carded. We've played big games before in much more hostile places that the Emirates. We'll have calm heads, they'll lose theirs.

If it were an emotionally-loaded atmosphere, it would play right into our hands. Arsenal - players, staff and fans - simply haven‘t got the chops for it.
Unfortunately, it won‘t be. Even if there is a bit of a charge at kick-off (doubtful at the Emirates), it will inevitably flicker out once Arteta has them settle into their passive 6-4-0 formation.

He has said the following though which is more honest and gracious than a lot of opposition fans;

It's true I've seen it on Arsenal Reddit groups - some fans hoping Rodri's done his ACL. Disgraceful - I'm ashamed. Football really brings the worst out of some people. These guys are no better than Spurs fans hoping Odegaard is out for the season.

Yeah I called it out in the Arsenal thread a couple of weeks back that no Bluemoon members were celebrating when we lost Odegaard and were showing sympathy. That was classy. To be honest usually we are classier than that as a fanbase but I think the match yesterday has created a tinderbox atmosphere. We've now got Gabriel on twitter doing a Brazilian TV interview saying Arsenal will be 'waiting at our house' for City in february with the intimation that violence will happen. It's bloody Dipper-level stuff now. Reminds me a bit of the Arsenal-Rags matches back in the day and the bad smell around those games.
