But in the 2-2 you set your stall out from the first minute with the charge into Rodri. You were coming to disrupt and be physical.
That's the game where I absolutely lost any lingering respect I had for Captain Black because of his association with us. I wanted him to be mildly successful so that I could tongue-in-cheek claim that City always bring out the best in people - but that no-show was an absolute disgrace. Negative tactics, time-wasting, diving, off the ball kicks and punches to our players, I was ashamed to admit he was once a part of our club.
He's spent a lot of money and the only thing he has to show for it is many dissatisfied supporters voicing their concerns that the club are nothing more than a glorified pub team.

We've played the dippers numerous times in battles with them and whilst there's way more bite off the pitch than we'll ever see with Arsenal, on the pitch it's been two teams going toe to toe the best way they can. There's been controversy, there have been incorrect decisions but the two sets of players play the game in the belief they'll win it playing the way they always do.

With Arsenal you seem to have abandoned any intention to play good football. Maybe it's due to injuries, but it has felt like following your loss of form late in the 2022/23 season Arteta has felt like you've needed to be less expansive to win the title. It's not good to watch, when you definitely were in 2022/23.

But in the 2-2 you set your stall out from the first minute with the charge into Rodri. You were coming to disrupt and be physical. It's natural we then gave you some back. The entire second half our players had to watch fake injuries and constant stoppages to try and delay things. It's up to the refs to take control, but he didn't. So when we did get the equaliser the emotions were high and Haaland dished out some stick. He's never getting a fucking red card for it, a yellow at most in any case.

If you want to make it a physical battle again then that suits us more than you. I don't think any of our players are quaking in their boots at the idea of going to the Emirates and it getting feisty. The majority of this City side have won all over Europe in much bigger and tougher circumstances. We're 4th in the league, playing 2nd at a ground which might be noisier than it used to be but is still not a fortress. We won't be too concerned. Play a more expansive, high energy football and you'll cause a lot more problems for us. I'd be stunned if Arteta instructed the side to get any form of revenge from the 2-2 and if your players are still stinging from that result then they'll never win the title. You get over it and you win the next game you play, then the next one. And in the return fixture you forget what went before and try to win that.
I am sure our players are shitting it about the mighty ashburton army

If your refrecneing Oliver moonlighting in the UAE. Its not an allegation.

Anyways, Webb has put a stop to PL referees being renumerated outside the PL. To be honest it should never have been allowed to happen in the first place. Creates all sorts of speculation and innuendo.

No other fan base has given one fuck about refs working overseas apart from your lot because you’re living well and truly up to your self entitled moniker.

It’s dripped down from Arteta into the players and your wanky fucking fan base that the world is doing you over when it just isn’t.

I don't know what happened to him to suddenly change his tactics so much. Yes they've had some injuries but Arsenal weren't far off winning the title in 22/23 but for me that was largely down to Saliba's injury and us being better. He didn't need to change things as drastically as he did, but he seemed to buy into the idea they weren't mentally ready to win and he made them slightly less expansive and more robust as a team but still didn't get over the line. This season he's abandoned all efforts at being expansive and it's basically an NFL side who have a bunch of special plays from set pieces and otherwise just hope that Odegaard/Saka (when fit) might get them a goal in open play. It's not good to watch at all.

I'm looking forward to the game this weekend and seeing Arsenal fans be more than happy to wait 90 seconds for their team to take a throw in, and a good few minutes for them to organise their set pieces. Then moan and whinge and call for a yellow when Ederson takes more than 10 seconds on a goal kick.

For anyone doing a bet builder a booking for Ederson is a certainty and it will come in the first half.

If you are coming back here don't be selective. I had your pants down in my reply to you, please respond to it.

Just watched a fan clip with a gooner and a blue. Gooner says Oliver is being paid by us and referenced 8 instances to back up his claim. Blue just sat there and took it like a pussy.

If you beat us on Sunday you'll finish above us in the league this season, of that I'm certain. Pretty sure City will be going all out to win.
I expect we go all out as losing, despite our current situation, goes against Peps principles as he hates it.

Hopefully be a good game for fans and neutrals. This will depend on who Webb picks for it. I think it'll be Alty Taylor so anything can happen!

Peter Bankes. One of the refs who has never sent off an Arsenal player. I seem to recall he was the ref when Stones got that harsh VAR red card v Villa a few years back right?

I'm with you, mate. It's like a HYS section of a tabloid shit-rag in some of these threads sometimes, and I come on here to get away from that shit.

I don't fear Arsenal. I sometimes feel Arteta is trying emulate Bingos dippers from a few years back: direct but solid. Arsenal don't have the players for that. They are not what I would call a 'footballing' team in the sense that Pep's teams are, playing the ball on the ground and using the space intelligently.
I really think they have become a Tony Pulis team under Arteta, but will their fans tolerate negativity in order to finally get a trophy?

given that they chant the set piece coaches name i think they are that desperate that they will tolerate anything
