Arteta announced as new Arsenal manager

we seem very obliging when opposing teams hack our computers and tap up our coaches. Do we get annoyed at anything up top in the boardroom. Imagine the fuss if these acts were reversed.
I guess we try to take the moral high ground but sometimes you need to respond back big time and make stance.

Am I the only one who doesn't give a shit if he stays or goes, but wants it over with?

I don't want the team distracted by it, there are enough issues without this playing out for any length of time.

Am I mistaken but hasn't tolmie said in the past that Arteta wan't in the running to succeed Pep anyway ?

This changing his assistant myth makes him look clever when in reality each assistant left for a manager’s job Archie Knox left to manage Rangers and a big pay day Kidd went to Blackburn and Ferguson fell out with him because he left. McLaren to Middlesbrough Queiroz to Real Only Phelan stayed
Was just going to make the same point. Thanks. Another rag myth debunked

I agree mate . Can’t fault him tbh as he as always been royal to arsenal aswell as city . And also with pep probably staying till the end of next season it gives him the experience of managing a big historic club and if he does well then maybe we come for him .

I don't have a problem with him managing Arsenal, but I really don't like the idea that we're going to let Pep's top assistant leave for (nominally) a rival in the middle of the season while he's under contract. We should have told him to wait until summer, but since that clearly isn't the route we're taking, at the very least it can't be allowed to drag on. Also there's no way he should be with the team tomorrow.

Not at all, quite the opposite really. In many white collar jobs where trade secrets or intellectual property is a concern this would've been addressed right at the first inkling he was potentially committed elsewhere, an "either commit here or leave now" type thing. Happens all the time in my line of work. The last time I switched firms I gave four week's notice and it was promptly declined.
Perhaps pep has more trust in him than that
