Wait.........Surprised they haven't rehashed that to Pep is leaving and Arteta will be out new manager next season.
Mikel wants the Arsenal job but wants guarantees from them first.
We won't be standing in his way, at least not after next Sunday has come and gone.
I suspect we will have a new coach before Christmas.

I guess Torrent being free makes it easier to allow him to go if he wants the Arsenal job. Why???

What's the general opinion of him with you guys, do you's think he has what it takes to take the step up into management?
I'd like Arteta given the job when Pep goes as he knows what this club is about. Bringing in a new manager from outside the club is a gamble and means a spell of transition, something Arteta would not disrupt as much with him being familiar with the players and the club as a whole. What's the general opinion of him with you guys, do you's think he has what it takes to take the step up into management?

What's the general consensus of appointing Arteta with gooners fans?
Fair comments pal. Did most want Emery out? I always feel sorry for managers who are perceived as failing without having time to prove to be a failure. Perhaps the board sacked him too soon ?To be honest mate, I'm not sure we even know ourselves what's best for us. Because of the situation we are in, and we're a basket case right now, some folk think it's time for a more experienced person, someone that can create a team with structure and organise a defense.
Others think that it's actually a good time to appoint a more gamble like unproven manager, as there's no real pressure or expectation of top 4 anymore, they can actually come in and as long as they 'steady the ship', will have time to get to know the squad and more importantly what's needed to improve it this season before any potential rebuild.
Think the problem is there are no standout candidates really, especially mid-season.

Whatever it is after having Wenger at the helm for so long, could mean you being in transitional instability for the considerable future. Us old skool blues know that all too well having an ex bumbling chairman that was Peter Swales as chairman in charge.
Fair enough. Who would you like as next manager and who do you think will get the job? Vieira seems to have thrown his hat in the ring...Yeah, i think the concensus was that Emery had to go. Purely because never mind seeing more improvement than last season, results and performances were getting worse, and he had no idea how to reverse it. We had gone to good home form and struggling occasionally away, to getting outplayed by the teams at the bottom of the table at home. Most thought he was a decent guy, just lost the dressing room though and there's no real way back from that.
Wont the one from nyc come back to replace Arteta if he goes or are we going to look for another younger assistant.
