Re: Assulin and Razak gone to Brighton on loan

Good luck to them, at least they will get senior games, and that can only be good for City

Do you think it is any different at any top club anywhere?

And who is Baton/Bator and co.?

I assume he means Nir Biton, who we didn't even sign because he couldn't get a work permit.

Yea Biton, I couldn't be arsed trolling through looking for his name, and I do now remember now you have said that he didn't get signed in the end. All I am saying is look at the facts...Micah Richards. That's all I need to say...Micah Richards.

Hart
Clichy
Kompany
Lescott
RICHARDS

Yaya
Barry
Silva
Aguero
Nasri
Balotelli.

panti, ndj, milner, pizzaro, kolarov, dzeko

MICAH RICHARDS.

I am also well aware that it is the same at most other top clubs, with maybe just about Barca being the odd exception. Chances are, most of these lads will go somewhere else, end up at a Valencia/Bremen/Udinese/Roma/Lille type club and will be bought back by someone like us, Rags, Chelsea, Barca, Madrid etc. for a bucket load of money....

i think the academy have done very well considering we didnt get first pick of the crop. thats one of the thing we had to change. while we were liddle ole citieh in the 2nd and 3rd tier`s of english football we could bring more kids through, now we need better quality its a shame but thats life

Our academy I fear, will just end up being a feeder system for other clubs.

i think thats what it, and the youth set up of other prem clubs are supposed to be. Yeah it's great to unearth a gem but they also make a packet by selling off the rest to lower league teams.

It's going to be twice as bad when this new ruling about academies comes in and lower league teams can see their kids pinched for £30k and face having to buy them back at 10x the price.

But shouldn't we aspire to the Barcelona system, where we attract all the world's best (especially English and more importantly northern) to our club with our fabulous facilities, with the aim of nurturing them and hopefully keeping them there for life? Ronaldo, Zidane, C Ronaldo, Figo etc. etc. all went from massive club to massive club, so it's not like I am living in a dream world, it is just I would rather ''in a dream world'' we bring the Silvas, Yayas, Agueros, Harts, Kompanys through from their teens to lifelong careers in our first team. I will wake up sooner or later...

of course we should but havent they had their system (in its current guise) since 2000? it's going to take a while. Plus of course most of the players who have come through their sstem are spanish and sadly our players lack the same ability. Yes I know that you could say they are that good because of the barca set up but other spanish teams produce wonderful players too. Silva nor Villa went to La Maisa.

Will these two be eligible to play against Liverpool in the FA Cup today?
