Villa played like it was a cup final. A lot of teams will do that against us, especially those in the top 4/6. Our players don't seem up for the fight.

So depressing that we've signed Phillips, Kovacic and Nunes and not one of them looks good enough to start a game for us.

To be fair, Kovavic was the only player we had tonight looking to make some intelligent runs and movement off the ball to make something happen. Didn't do anything spectacular with it but at least he was making himself available for passes in decent positions, which is more than you can say for the rest.

I knew it will be a hard game but did not expect this. Emery deserves full credit he ripped Pep to pieces with a lot worse squad. if its 3-0 to them we cant say a word.
and also they have more points than us at almost half of the season behind us.

we couldnt manage their pressing, their high line, their tempo, we were second best at duels, and everything else.
midfield all over the place, Alvarez, Foden piss poor, Haaland hardly involved.
