Dropped like flies - total carnage!!Men's 60m Final
Fucking brilliant from Azu! Great race.
He's just not very good tbh.Trying to not spoil it for anyone watching later on catchup but I think Adam Fogg's 1500m was one of the worst I've seen from a Brit on the World stage.
Left it to an all out sprint when he's the slowest sprinter in the field, very daft.
He's just not very good tbh.
A bit surprised he got selected because he had zero chance of a medal.
He went backwards quicker than an Italian tank once the speed increased.Yeah I believe he's better suited to longer distances and ran a couple of decent times but his tactics were horrendous in that.
This grand slam of track starts tonight (23.30-01.30 TNT sports in the UK). It's over 3 nights Friday-Sunday.
6 Brits competing in the first meeting.
Z Hughes 100m & 200m.
M Hudson-Smith 200m & 400m.
J Kerr & N Gourley 800m & 1500m.
D Neita 100m & 200m.
D Asher-Smith 200m & 400m.
Never thought I'd ever see Dina run a 400m.
Apart from the British there's hardly any European competitors taking part. I'll watch it because I'm a bit of a night owl but not sure I'd pay money to go and watch 8 races live when it's all over in 2 hours tops. Not sure what to make of it yet. I am interested in seeing the athletes run the other race they don't usually do but don't know whether that is just a novelty thing that will wear off.
I think the talk and branding is doing a lot of heavy lifting at the moment. Just 4 meets all in North America with multiple stars missing from all distances, I hope it does well for the athletes sake but not sure the fans attending will get much from it.
Yeah I'll watch too, I love the sport but 8 races a night for 3 nights feels a bit sparse, needed 2 nights tops.Apart from the British there's hardly any European competitors taking part.
