Bollocks. She did not even make the final in the 400 and ran a time of 51.6 so can hardly be knackered. The winner of the 400 hurdles even ran a faster time than that. Also the women who won the 100 also won the 200.She looked knackered, ran the individual in the week, in hindsight probably shouldn't have done the relay.
There's 9 lanes on most world class tracks now, lane 1 isn't used in the relays unless something has happened. So I assume they'll get that lane.How does that work with SA getting reinstated? Whose place will they take in the final

The reality is that if Thiam had not retired through injury she would have been totally out of the medal positions. I find her a very hard watch as she seems to lack intensity in certain events as if she's going through the motionsSo KJT needs to beat Brooks by 6 seconds in the 800m to medal in the heptathlon, she is a much better runner than Brooks but that's a big ask.

Kipyegon has to let Chebet kick first, I think she'd still struggle over 5k but easier to chase than be chased.
How they can run at that pace is beyond me and then sprint to finish. Our GB girl Nuttall, did well to finish eighth in her first ever final.Could be some 5k this, Kipyegon v Chebet in this heat. Tsegay usually does something mad as well. Battocletti has a strong finish too.
