I’m not pushing for postcodes though. I just said that’s what other clubs do. it is ‘Manchester’ City though and local kids and families, for instance, should have access to attend games. If we ever need postcode tickets that means they’ve been priced out. The above post did actually mention greater Manchester as well.

I could say it’s a bit ironic someone called Mcfc Wirral talking about Liverpool home games and mocking mancs ;) lots of my family are from Manchester, but like most city fans we all moved next door to Stockport!

If prices are affordable it’s a non issue as everyone could go. There should always be a strong presence of locals and general city fans who love the club.

During my last spell as a Seasoncard holder I sat around people from New Mills, Oldham, Farnworth and Sheffield. To suggest we’re all dyed in the wool Mancs is simply incorrect.

It's a shame the club don't understand the correlation of this or care enough about it for it to matter to them. We can argue about the impact of this policy for games at the Etihad until the cows come home, but with the limited amount of tickets available for away games there can't be much benefit for the club to not release all those tickets to more deserving blues. You can see how much Pep and the players appreciate it. Seems a completely unnecessary own goal.

More of a shame our club think more about maximising profits by letting online agencies get hold of tickets to sell to day tripping tourists at extortionate prices. I think we are selling tickets to them for a lot more than 30 quid a pop! And the sad thing is our club don't care about deserving fans who cannot get tickets.

It won't always be this way though. We cannot keep on winning trophies the way we have been, and should we fall from grace to fall on hard times the club won't be able to take the piss any longer. They'll have to price match day tickets an SCs accordingly as all (well most) of our half n' half scarf glory hunters will have long left the scene.

To me the Wirral is like plastic scouser land. Anytime I’ve met someone from there they say they are scousers and often have the accent or a lighter version of it.

I haven’t suggested we’re all dyed in the wool mancs.

My point was that locals should always have access to tickets. A lot of locals don’t have access to premier league tickets as they are priced out - some of the most deprived areas are around Manchester and lots of families near the ground often can’t afford to go to games.

Everyone should be able to go to games though wherever they are from and we are agreeing in the main. Let’s talk about the atmosphere now!

But unfortunately, he did. He said something along the lines of 'the away fans are better than the fans at the Etihad. Or words to that effect. As soon as he said it, you just knew the media would pick up on it. Why he keeps doing it, is beyond me. Absolutely fucking annoying from him (again) to be honest. No need to say anything last night about the fans at the Etihad. None. He needs to shut the fuck up about the fans at the Etihad. Enough.

No chance that the lads I know from the Wirral try and pass themselves off as scousers? They might not when they are actually in the Wirral but take them out of their surroundings and it’s a different matter.

Manchester isn’t the poorest place ever. More and more business moves in and tower blocks go up. It’s becoming gentrified and there’s money available to those who work.

We were a single parent family after my dad passed away. I first began to attend based down in Hereford getting the train up and paying to go with my wages. I’ve never received a penny from the club and neither would I expect to.

All this romance about being working class and having nothing. It was bollocks and I knew some truly awful people. There’s no onus on a business like City to reward anyone. Find the money like I did.
