It’s only going to get busier with the Etihad expansion, more bars, restaurants, a new arena, events, towers and apartment blocks. United might finally expand Old Toilet after Jim’ll Fix It pledged £245mill.

I agree with you, and on the whole I find choreographed European atmospheres to be dull. I'm not suggesting we need that.

My point is that at the end of the game their players have a full stadium clapping them off the pitch. Obviously there's a few empty seats for people with Kids, or elderly people or disabled people, but it's still 90% full.

Ours is closer to 30% full at this point. Not having a bash at anyone, it's just an observation

Aside from the Geordies for whom now having a decent team is a novelty, I think for a lot of big clubs it could be the tourist factor. Tourists will be staying in hotels close to the grounds and have no need to travel far. They also will want to stay and soak in every minute of the experience.

The big difference is that European clubs’ atmospheres are generally choreographed.

You ask our players what they think of our atmospheres when games really matter. Bayern, Madrid, Arsenal etc last season.

The Etihad is a bear pit when it comes alive. That Isn’t manufactured. It’s raw emotion and noise.

The Madrid semi final was fantastic. One of the Madrid players listed our ground and atmosphere as the most intimidating he's ever experienced.

I always stay ‘til the end, but can’t envisage the day that everyone does so. Transport is so shit that modern life dictates that people need to shorten their time in traffic.

Society is time poor, rushing between different things.

Laps of honour should be limited to the biggest games, not drubbing a relegation candidate, in my opinion.

Most of us are FOCs that need quite the shove to get going, but once we do, we do it properly.

The players know that and so it’s up to them to make us loud.

Problem is with the atmosphere is SKY/BT/Media have drummed it into alot of people that only the Big 6 matter so alot of fans sadly switch off when Bournemouth/ Burnley/Sheffield etc turn up unless we go one down.

We've always been a fanbase that thrives and reacts well to a sense of injustice and adversity. God knows we've had enough practice over the years lol. The 115 charges was the perfect kindling to light our fire.

100%.

The fact it’s reactionary makes it authentic and raw.

The Madrdid semi, Liverpool in 2018, Leicester Vinny goal, rags 2012 etc. The electricity around the stadium was spine tingling.
