Consistently the blandest away fans in the league. I remember when they bought 100 odd for a league cup game

wasn't even that many, talking less than 50 that game
Yeah, it was advertised mate. I tried to push it as much as I could by word of mouth, but some people have their own plans with family etc.

Hopefully the lads keep pushing for this and conversing with the club. If they gave the group the chance in a bigger game, with a few weeks notice, I think we could get a good group up there and create a racket.

hopefully they do yeah, I know other clubs do that

We relocated to 314 had a great time

It made a good change. It's going to have to take people in 110/11, SS1, and other areas of SS3 to drop their egos and try and come together as one. The club are never going to move the away fans from their current position due to the infrastructure in place and coach car park etc.

Hopefully we can get more of these trials going over the next few seasons, it is our only chance of showing the club what we want so they don't force more corporate on us in key areas of the new stand. We need one large singing section.

We gave it a right good go at the top of 314. Well done to all the lads for arranging it and the ones who shared it on here to gain traction. Only 50 or 60 of us up there spread out amongst empties and tourists but if we can get that up to 150-200 it would project the noise massively to other areas of the ground.

I don't think anybody who didn't take up the offer to relocate for the day can pass negative judgement on the atmosphere, to be honest. You had your opportunity and chose not to vote with your feet and support the 1894 Group.

My honest view is that tourists and newer fans are great, the club has grown faster than any of us could've ever imagined. However, the club should be more strategic in their approach by locating general sale and low pointers into one or two select areas together. It can be hard when there's a language barrier to get behind any of the songs, or unsuitable for families in such areas of the ground.
I thought you gave it a go up there (I’m in 318) on what was a flat day. However it is clear that song choice is key! Stand up for the Champions was the one which got other stands involved.

First half seemed fairly flat from where I am in 240. Not surprising considering the way the match was going. Picked up once the goals started going in and it was decent second half.

In previous years games like this would have been so quiet you could hear the players shouting. Think you guys made a huge difference today and kept the singing going. It makes such a difference to some of the quieter games against Fulham in the past. I like I like it I like it….
Absolutely mate

We are at the pinnacle of football which is fucking ace but atmosphere wise we are bobbins. No one forces anyone to attend games or sing or stay silent.

It is what it is .

It's one of the reasons why I'm not that arsed about going to the matches anymore, the flat atmosphere. You can count on one hand how many top atmospheres there will be in a season. Give me today's football with the Kippax atmosphere and we have a match made in heaven
That’s half the problem though, fucking lazy attitude to it. We need to make days like today better and it is getting better. People just don’t bother and then nothing improves.

It was a shit game to be fair. We had only had 3 shots by the 55th minute and had none before we scored from memory. We scored 5 goals from 7 attempts today. That must be the least attempts we have had at home for years. That and Fulham only bringing around 800 fans didn’t help.

Yes I'm still pinching myself we won 5-1, tough on Fulham but to be fair we did improve a lot in the second half. That goal just before half time sickened them. I've watched it back on TV tonight and yes it probably was a bit harsh, but we had the same thing happen to us at Sheffield, probably worst as their player was right on top of Ederson. Shit happens. We would still have beaten them anyway.

We are not bobbins. We had some great atmospheres last season and stepped up when we were needed. Some games, like today, for a variety of reasons, are lukewarm.

We need the electricity of a big match to get us going.

Pep needed us against Newcastle and we delivered enough to get the win, without being at our full voice.

Come the bigger games and second half of the season, we will be there, just like last season.

Exactly. Crowds are reactionary. Bitter rivalry, very important games, adversity as we faced against Newcastle and we respond. Early season games against a team we have no strong feelings towards either way, who brought very few fans and a bit of a lacklustre performance and we are tepid.

Apart from away teams with drums. They need to get in the sea.

I think we've had a lot worse than today, it wasn't the best, it started OK, but we played awful for 45 minutes, and that always has an effect. We then quickly put the game to bed second half, and that often makes things worse too.

I still though it was better today than many similar games.

The Fulham turnout was woeful (it often is), but I live just as far away as most Fulham fans, and had the same train issues, but I still made it, and they only have to come to the Etihad once (ignoring cups), I manage to do it 15-20 times most seasons.

It wasn’t great today but then again I’ve never been to Fulham at home where the atmosphere has even been half decent
