Atmosphere - 2023/24

Watching Arsenal v Liverpool. Arsenal winning 1-0. The atmosphere is shit. You can hear a pin drop. Liverpool fans offering nothing, and quiet again just like they were at the Etihad. Yet our home support is shit.

Yeah I said this too in another thread. Home fans were poor literally until the 3rd goal.

We've seen it many times YNWA unless the team is losing then they all fuck off, it's easy to give it out winning, once that stops even for a little bit you can see the calibre of the dip support.

The Yaya penalty shoot out winner at Wembley being the prime example

Picked up after the 3rd goal..That and a bit of scarf waving. Compare that to our home atmosphere against Arsenal last season.

Everyone was moaning about our atmosphere at home v Liverpool and because it was a 12.30 KO, but the Liverpool v utd game was a 4.30 KO and the atmosphere was terrible, so it's not always the time of KO .

Hats off to the lads who do that coach journey there and back in a day!

My lad did that today with an 7/8 hr round trip by car.

Loud and proud all night bar 10 mins after they scored.

Yeah fantastic today, although a particularly notable amount of tourists in our end today. Chinese bloke next to me told me he'd paid around £150 to tourist board to get the ticket. Whilst he absolutely loved it, its not fair to charge someone that much and its also not fair to the many blues who had no chance of getting a ticket.

Really good atmosphere though, well done everyone who went.

Great night, loads of tourists though. When you see a family of 4 or 5 U18s I think we know they not got the points! Not gonna moan cos it’s all been done on here before, but I think the days of a raucous away end will be limited to cup games or the less “fashionable” aways from now on

Anyone know what happened with the fella who got slung out near the front towards the end of the game? Seemed like an altercation with some lad who looked to be more of the tourist variety of supporter. Took loads of stewards to get him out and he went down swinging.

That's what people around me were speculating as well. Reminded me of world of sport back in the day, when the security tried to escort Giant Haystacks out of the ring and he was just swatting them away like flies!
