I hope Claudio Echeverri will be prepared for the atmosphere at the Etihad when he joins in January after the sedate quiet night he had at River Plate last night !

If you could just run it past him that in England, you can’t even get in the stadium with a bottle of water never mind 15 tons of fireworks.

Cheers

Was in Turkey recently and noticed that you have to have some card to get into games(so tourists can’t get in), idk would this improve atmosphere but the club wouldn’t do it anyway, would it work

Why would you want to stop tourists coming to the stadium?

They pay high prices, buy shitty, expensive stadium food and go and fill up bag fulls of souvenirs at the shop, in short bring considerable finance to the club.

And if you did stop them I would say the stadium would have a lot more empty seats in a lot of meaningless games.

The problem isn't tourists.
The problem is tourists getting tickets ahead of long term fans, either because the fans aren't given sufficient notice to buy tickets, or because they are being priced out.
CL tourists will turn up for the Brugge game even if it's a dead rubber.
Have a look at some UEFA Cup and early CL attendances to see how many loyal fans we actually had.

Surely that's to try and police hooliganism rather than to stop tourism?!

On the subject of atmosphere, needs to be loud on Saturday to get behind the lads and get back on track
If it’s anything like the first 20 minutes v Arsenal then it should be good. SSL3 was bouncing until the Rodri injury which deflated everything. I get the feeling it might be lively with the late kick off and everyone wanting to try to break this run. We could blow em away.

Jeopardy always makes us better and Saturday should be a perfect example of this. Throw in the late kick off and I think it could be loud. Just need to hope it warms up a little before Saturday

Hopefully with the likes of Dias, Stones, Akanji, Grealish and a KDB with 2 weeks of intense fitness work back!

Anyone can get a card, even tourists. Was in Turkey in May and a Dutch fella I got talking to had been to a game while they were out there on holiday

Love a Saturday teatime kick off me. Should be a cracker. Both teams are in poor form so will both be up for rectifying that. Always a good game against Spurs. The team need us, Pep will want us behind them.

A good test for our fanbase on Saturday. Is our fanbase content with the last 7 seasons and laidback about winning things in future? Or are we still up for it? Do we want more?

Don’t forget not all the team have been here throughout all the things we’ve won under Pep, they need us behind them as much as we were behind other teams when we had better atmospheres compared to the last two seasons.

So, are we up for this or what?!

I get what you mean but it’s nothing to do with winning things and being content or not. It’s about our team and getting behind them because the team is in a bad patch right now. We’ve always known when to come out and support the team and never been needed to be told, even by Pep

Anyone know what the 1894 lads have planned for the derby
